In less than one week, life had become uncomfortably complicated for Hermione Granger. It had all started a week ago tonight when she found herself in detention with her least favorite person at Hogwarts and it had ended with them shagging like rabbits in the very closet they were supposed to be cleaning. Draco Malfoy and turned her inside out over the next week, both physically and mentally. Hermione knew there was no way that Draco was going to tell anyone what had happened between them but she was still feeling jumpy and Harry and Ron had noticed. Ginny had even seen it in her and had cornered her the night before in her dorm and demanded to know what was going on. She had told Ginny that she just didn't feel well and the younger Gryffindor had eyed her suspiciously but dropped it. The truth was that Draco made her every sense feel afire, like she was really alive but he despised her, didn't he? He always said such cruel things to her but the second time they had been together just two days ago in another closet he had pulled her in, covered her body with his own and fucked her up against a wall. She hadn't had the will power to stop him and she really didn't want to.
That was maybe what was scaring her more than anything, the way she really liked looking into his cold blue eyes as he drove into her, the way his hands felt on her body, his breath against her ear, his lips on hers... she had to mentally shake her head and remind herself who she was thinking about, it wouldn't do her any good to feel like him over this, it just wouldn't...
She arrived at her detention with butterflies fluttering in her stomach. She had combed her thick waves longer than she normally would, using a gloss on them to set them right in place. She had even applied the smallest amount of perfume in the crook of her neck and in her cleavage. She had changed after classes into her muggle attire, a crimson sweater that was v-necked in the front that accented her chest and some devastatingly well fitting jeans that hugged the ass that Draco seemed love so much.
Blinking at her appearance in the mirror, she dropped her little tube of lip gloss and laughed absurdly at what she was doing; dressing up to go to detention with Malfoy. She still applied the gloss before leaving, might as well finish what she started.
Heading out to detention, she wondered if she would see him in the hall. She mentally had to slap herself for that one, it was already way too close to the time she needed to be there and she didn't think that McGonagall would be happy if she was late to the detention she had already botched once. She firmly fixed her mind to make sure they got all the cleaning done before anything happened between them she wasn't going to make an excuse to be stuck with him again... it wasn't good for her to be letting herself think any of these things...
Pushing her way into the room, she was several minutes early and she found Professor McGonagall sitting behind her desk grading papers.
"Miss Granger," she nodded at Hermione and the look and tone she took with her made Hermione wish she had never got in this mess in the first place, she hated a teacher's disapproval, "you will go across the hall and begin without Mr. Malfoy, I am sure he refused to work last week but I thought a witch like you could have cleaned the better part of that mess in less time than I gave you, be sure its done tonight. I'm sure you don't enjoy spending time with him."
Nodding, Hermione found herself in the dingy closet and she set to work immediately moving books, boxes and supplies, remembering a neat little trick Tonks had tried to show her over the summer, she called out "Orderafixia" and several piles of books shuffled into an organized manor, she grinned to herself at her handle on a spell she had never tried before.
