Luckily for you, I have a primer:

This is likely a pocket dimension, alternate to your own, where you have been brought against your will by powers none of us know or likely comprehend, along with loads of other people who are similarly irritated and/or disoriented. There is no known way out. There is food, liquor, and (occasionally dubious) company. The staff won't talk to you, and they are hella creepy, no lie. But you can hurt yourself and others, which is a bad idea, so this isn't a dream/nightmare/hallucination, and I wouldn't risk it, personally. You can't leave the city, there's a forcefield around it. It's approximately the late 2010s, and you are being kept in a reasonable, if creepy facsimile of Las Vegas, Nevada, which is in the southwestern part of the United States of America, which is in the northwestern hemisphere of Earth.

In my experience, can't is a fairly relative term, all things considered. The fact is that this is indeed happening, so your best bet to work out of it is to accept the parameters as presented to you rather than railing against them. I mean, it sucks, but it's as good of a starting place that I've ever found. Better for the blood pressure, less wasted energy that could go to finding answers rather than failing about, etc. It sounds like zen bullshit, I know.

While I'm not unsympathetic, let me posit this:

If you successfully destroy this place, you are not guaranteed to be returned to your place in the space-time continuum.

What you are guaranteed is a high number of innocent casualties.

And while that might not matter to you, it does matter to a great many people here. Myself included. Because, strangely, wrecking everything to get what you want doesn't often result in getting what you want. It mostly just wrecks everything for everyone -- yourself included.

But what do I know.

Just a thought -- if you successfully tear all of this infrastructure to kingdom come, leaving nothing but ash and dust and rubble, and presuming there is something past the dome that covers this place and it's accessible and you manage to break the dome as well (all of these are big variables, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt), how prepared are you to make sure no-one dies of exposure, hunger, or thirst in the getting there? What's your plan for dealing with potential hostile encounters past the dome?

Bear in mind that there are folks here who have been here longer who are working on shit. Don't mistake awareness of limitations and willingness to attempt strategy for complacency in captivity. Well, you can. But it's a sizeable error. So if you want to pitch in, go for it. Or go all lone ranger, if that's your bag. Fuck working together. Who needs it?

But like I said: what do I know? You could have decades of experience in counter-terrorism and covert ops that would make some people here faint at the mere mention. So do as you will. Just try to make sure you account for your casualties from whatever side they may come, whether intended or collateral, when you tear everything to pieces.

Yeah, no, sorry. Not a dream. People can in fact get hurt here. This is a really jacked up reality, but it is real. If you jump from the roof, you might survive, but I'm pretty sure our only doctors here are a physicist and a guy from Victorian England. Not great odds.

Look, I know this is a lot to take in. And it is shitty on an industrial-strength grade. I have been here for longer than I like to think about, and I would give anything to wake up in my own damn bed the next time I close my eyes. You have no idea. But everybody's got to use their higher reasoning capacities, here. For everyone's sake, including their own.
