Only a week left and then it was off to Hogwarts. As much as she loved spending time with her family and summer and all the fun that went with that, Janice was definitely looking forward to her sixth year. Although her last few days were always a little bittersweet. And it was the second year that all three of them would be gone. And the first without Neville at Hogwarts. That was going to be interesting, being the oldest Longbottom there. Jay grinned. That could be all sorts of fun. She'd gotten a good chunk of her packing down, even down to getting Smalls carrier ready. Prepared was a good word for her at the moment. Even if it was kind of early for it.
She'd taken a break from packing and making a general mess of her room to get something to eat from the kitchen. Her stomach was craving sustenance! After helping herself to a sandwich, Janice downed a large glass of cold water. Yum. Best drink ever. Especially when you were slightly sweaty and sticky from enthusiastic trunk stuffing. Jay made sure to wash up her plate and cup. Better then coming back and doing it later. Once that was all sorted, she headed back in the direction of her room.
As she passed the living room, she glanced in and grinned happily at her Mum. Pausing in the entrance, she waved. "Hey Mum." Now that she'd stopped packing, she was kind of glad for more distractions to keep her from being consumed by it again.
