WHO: Luag Chambers and Nate Summerby along with their friends
WHEN: Friday, July 1, 2005, evening
WHERE: Luag's house on the Isle of Harris
WHAT: The much awaited wedding party. Open for threading and ooc discussion.
RATING: TBD. Considering the amount of alcohol, likely very high.
The reception room and the kitchen had both been set up with long tables covered in a plethora of food, the snacks mainly reserved for the reception room while the heartier foods left in the kitchen. To be safe, a table had also been set up outside near a large bonfire that had been charmed to not burn anything. The wards to keep people away from the lake had also been left up considering that along with all the food, each table had a large punch bowl and enough liquor and beer to likely give all of Hogwarts alcohol poisoning. The byre had been cleaned up and set up for dancing, both the traditional kind Luag was used to at family occasions as well as the more modern kind. The extra bedrooms had been set up for people to stay the night in considering the amount of alcohol that would be flowing, but he figured that it was all to likely that other activities would end up going on there as well considering that the byre was occupied for dancing.
Luag felt a bit bad to hold the party after the news of Michael had hit the papers, but they had already waited two months and the party might be a welcome distraction. They had found someone to watch over Cody so that Davina, Alex, and Kat could come. Even if he was a bit uncomfortable by Kat's presence, he wasn't letting it bother him. He was enjoying this party completely, which meant celebrating with good friends, drinking so much he wouldn't be able to think straight for a week after, and basking in Nate's presence and showing the other man how much he loved him. That last was made all the more easier by the fact that it hadn't taken much convincing to get Nate to wear his new kilt for the celebration.
