So this post was bugged so I'm doing it over.

Seeing as I'll apparently be unable to write any apps for new characters until I go on break next week, all of mine will be re-introductions for now. My PBs also pretty much don't do awesome gif-worth things so we'll see how this goes.

This is Ines. She's an AM Human Resources representative hailing from Graz, Austria. Before the flu hit, she was a coordinator of external affairs for about two years, which meant she was on the phone with multiple governments and organizations all day, every day. Now that everything's back and reborn and restructured she'll be stationed in a similar, more internalized position, probably called Structural Integrity or something equally bureaucratic. She's also one of the people mostly likely to be fronting as a bank teller because some of her work can be accomplished downstairs. She lives with Jorma Gram, a fellow HR denizen who won her heart by almost getting himself killed. Who knew?

As you may have noticed from some of the preplay posts, Ines is coming up on six months pregnant with her first child, a little girl who will be named Maija. Or Maya, depending on who wins the soft-J battle (wait until they try to pick a second name).

She's a fairly serious person though she's quite witty and well-spoken. She's dedicated to her work and incompetence drives her up the freaking wall. Ines is well known for being grumpy, overbearing, and generally angry, so it may be shocking to realize that she's actually pretty pleasant. She loves trashy romance novels and popular dance music (one can even hear some Cascada or Katy Perry drifting from her earbuds every now and again...) and is a generous supporter of local women's shelters.

She needs friends! So she doesn't go insane.

(Re)Meet Pearle!

She is a Knight Templar, the youngest one, actually, who is not so useful tactically but very helpful in combat. Her ability is secreting a paralysing toxin through her bodily fluids. A touch from her can paralyse a grown man for an hour or so. And, should she bleed or spit on someone, they'll go into respiratory arrest and probably die. The downside of her power is that it's always active, which means she can't be touched by anyone who doesn't have the same power or a healing ability. This has, understandably, made her a bit of a crazy person. She also has a cell re-/degeneration power, but she's too frightened to use it most of the time. Basically, she is super OP but doesn't use her powers much. nerf pearle

The year without powers was wonderful for her. She went home to New Zealand and lived a blissfully normal life. But then her abilities remanifested and she almost killed her boyfriend. Oops. She's back in Victory now that AM's been reinstated and is sadly pretty much the same as when she left. Pearle is extremely sensitive, has a hair-trigger temper and pretty much does what any man over the age of thirty suggests to her.

Pearle works at the Victory library and can usually be seen there, bundled up in clothes from head to toe no matter the weather, putting books away. She also lives with Mack in the agent apartment complex.

She's a very finicky person, and therefore hard to get along with, but I'd love for her to make some friends.

This is Bree!

Previously, she was the head of the Labs at Ad Meliora. During AM's hiatus, she got divorced, lost her dad, moved to Houston, worked for Halliburton and bought a cat. She doesn't like animals much, but her apartment did get lonely at night (SHE WILL NEVER ADMIT TO THIS) and a cat seemed like the remedy that required the least maintenance. Houston was nice, but she's glad to be back in Victory.

Well, she's mostly glad. She's been demoted from the head of Labs to a senior member of R&D's staff. She's a physicist first and foremost, but has some knowledge of engineering. Mostly, she helms the more sci-fi-ish projects. Holodecks, mecha suits, bionic limbs, etc. Sometimes she looks at her life and asks how she got here, but she can't deny that the work is intellectually stimulating.

Bree is bossy and confident, but she's trying to come to terms with the fact that she's not the head of the department she works in. She'll be its head one day, oh yes, but she's not there yet. Off the job, she's funny, light and generally good-natured. She's really into DIY and arts and crafts and her whole apartment looks like it was bought off Etsy. But she made that shit herself, guys! Be impressed.

Okay I will get to everyone eventually I hope

This is Briar! He still works at Bookmans as the day manager and takes care of five of his seven siblings, since his older brother and just barely younger sister have left for California, his mother died in the flu, and his dad is often out of town for business reasons. Free time, what is that. So if anyone sees him around, it is usually with at least one, if not five, children. He is a good mommy daddy for them so long as no one lets him touch the laundry.

His power is the ability to walk through and control dreams, although for him it is mostly running to get out of dreams because it is creepy and he doesn't want to hurt anyone. He hates it and is very disappointed that it had to come back. Also, since AF alternates are showing up now, his Earth2 Alternate is an AF agent who has the same power and does use it to psychologically hurt people. He is not very nice.

And this is Hana! But you may know her better as Ursa Major, Captain Kangaroothless, Tiger Girl, Anaconda or Black Widow. She changes her moniker about once a week, but she will always remain the sidekick of Sipahi, The Beastmaster!

There's been some internet buzz about the dynamic duo who fancy themselves superheroes in Europe, but it's rare for people to have heard about them in the States. Soon, Zafer and Hana will be rectifying that!

Hana's power is shape-shifting. If she sees an animal (either in person or in a photo), she can change into it. She can only recall one form at a time, though, which is why she has a rolodex of pictures of animals in her purse. She can also shift into other humans, but doesn't like doing that. It gets creepy really, really fast.

Obviously, if you can't already tell from the fact that she considers herself a superhero, Hana is a little delusional. She is also very spontaneous, enthusiastic and loud. She is prone to excess and pretty much has no impulse control. So she's a fun person to hang around with until the police need to become involved. Strangely, though, she becomes very protective and responsible around Zafer. You get three guesses as to why that is.

Before developing her power, Hana was trying to become a comic book artist. The series she was working on echoes a certain story some of you may know. But that's on the backburner, 'cause now she's a living comic book, bitches!

I was hoping I'd get an app done soon, but I fail too much, apparently. So re-introductions first.

This is Emma! She is a Knight Templar from Earth 2 and a technopath!

She likes to appear bubbly and dumber than she actually is, but she's pretty much dropped that for anyone she knows is aligned with AM. She's got a tinge of spunk in her, though. She also does her best to keep to the KTs out of trouble, but she is not a miracle worker.

She'll eventually be moved to work in R&D and she loves to make little gadgets - the smaller and sleeker and unobtrusive they are, the better. She likes modifying everyday technological items like mp3 players and adding a bunch of features like x-ray scanners, laser beams, bomb projectiles, etc.

She is pretty friendly, but she has trust issues a mile wide, and if you're not a KT, you'll probably always be kept over an arm's width away unless you can break through.

She also used to work at The Early Riser and will probably pick up a few hours again (because free or discounted pastries!) but not as many as she used to.

Uh, I don't know if there's any more to say about her, so have a gif!

This is Cameron!

He is so Asian it hurts and is laughable. He is serious and responsible and believes in doing what's right. Filial piety is also strong in this one, and he likes to cook traditional Asian fare. He is also super awkward and fail when it comes to being social, though. He's pretty apathetic about what other people do unless it brings into question his safety or the safety of people he cares about. It's also pretty easy to see once you get to know him that he is super wrapped around his two younger sisters' fingers even though they're all the way down in California.

He also knows he has very effeminate features and it gives him grief, but he is pretty much used to it by now. He used to be a magazine model, which only slightly embarrasses him.

He works in the IT department at AM and is probably the only sane one working in that basement. This also gives him grief, but he tries to live with it.


He has a pretty fit body you will never see! Embarrassment, mortification, etc.
