So I'm working and the boss decides we're going to send a driver to get Starbucks. I want a large white chocolate mocha, but I am really flustered getting orders together so I stutter a bit.

"You want a large?"

"Yea, one of those big... you the white... yum yum things..."

::uncontrollable giggling from the boss::

"What?"

"I want to watch D walk into Starbucks and ask the barrista for 'a big white yum yum...'"

Hmm, where to begin with this one..? I first knew you in HP fandom through your fics. You're a fantastic writer, and if I had to describe your writing in one word, I'd use "witty." (If I was allowed a second, I'd try to get away with "monitor-melting-smutty-hotness-OMG.") Then I discovered that you're an absolute blast in person; funny, friendly, smart, gorgeous, and blessed with pretty much the Sexiest Voice Ever. Your one-of-a-kind cards are way original and cool; getting mail from you is so much fun. Also, your "welcome to the U.S." gift for Ari was just hilariously awesome! I hope we cross paths again one of these days.

All that twattage that was going on with my computer last night?
Looks like it was my AVI to DVD program glitching.
And after all that, I didn't get a DVD out of it. >:P

I gave in and we are getting the beagle puppy, from the animal shelter puppy wash.  This will raise our household count to me, Teh Rock, cousin, his SO, 3 dogs, a cat and 2 turtles.

This is the last animal, I swear.

I am also addicted to "Glee", so much so that I now have the soundtrack.   What does it say about me that I have never really cared much for Diana Ross (even in her younger days she looked like a female impersonator IMO) but I LOVE the Glee casts version of "You Keep Me Hanging On."

And I have listened to "Somebody to Love" 5 times thus far in the last hour.

This is for alisanne, eeyore9990, sassy_cissa, and unbroken_halo (who've been there from the beginning), and everyone who's ever spent time with us. I want to let you all know how much the chats and all the word wars have meant to me over the last few (is it almost three now??) years. I was initially ecstatic to find a group of like-minded, slash-inclined geeks with whom I could talk on a regular basis, OMG! It was amazing how physical distance never seemed to matter and I felt like you all were right there in the room with me at times. Giving and receiving so much feedback and encouragement helped my writing to improve more than I can possibly comprehend. It's been great watching all of us change and grow as writers and artists.

I've never done it before so this is going to be completely new for me. I can't believe there were so many fandoms. I said I could write for about a billion.

1000 words I can do in a few hours so it's going to be pretty easy, esp for a one shot. (It's my epics that kill me.)

How many do they assign you? Can you write more than you're offered?

Can anyone who's done it before fill me in on the little stuff?

I have been hard at work! And I have to say, not one of my art pieces so far look like they were remotely drawn by the same artist! XD I've experimented with a lot of new things, so expect surprises :)

This is on top of my NaNoWriMo (currently at 8k, and I'm hoping to get to 12k tonight) and the Fic That Ate My Brain and Sold My Soul, aka Pain Management, a Snape/Hermione post-war BDSM fic. It grew from a short little smutty one-shot to a 5-chapter story with PLOT!

I posted to HP betas, but no-one's replied so far, so I'll try prodding the Flist. I need someone who's good with transitions. I generally can come up with some really decent plot and characterisation, but my strength is in short, emotionally-packed vignettes. So longer stories with one or more transitions can be a bit of a struggle. A beta good with Britishisms would be dearly loved as well!

All but the last chapter revolve around purely consensual het and BDSM, and a variety of kinks - not all the chapters are written yet so I can't tell you for sure what all will end up included. The last chapter DOES have some dubcon and torture and a bit of slash with other characters. Happy ending though, never fear!

Wow, this is a hard one. Have you ever felt something about someone (their presence or aura, something they exude, a way you feel around them) that you can't quite figure out how to express in words? I have that with you. I sense something powerful about you that I can't begin to describe.
