Ophelia had used her Godbox to dial into downtown Portland. She wanted to shop, and she was becoming used to going out by herself. She wasn’t entirely sure she enjoyed being by herself, but it was only for a couple of hours, and then Darius would be joining her for lunch. As she browsed the shop windows, she daydreamed.

Darius had spent a lot of time getting this night ready. He'd bought tickets to Arsenic and Old Lace, because he thought a comedy might be a good idea. He'd also gotten reservations at a good restaurant for dinner, and had even bought a nice suit for the occasion.

He whistled as he waited for Ophelia, nervous about the night. He wanted her to have a good time, after all.

Ophelia was dressed...a little less awkwardly, in comfortable knit pants and a warm, soft shirt. She had to admit, the clothing in this time was so much more comfortable than what she'd worn in her time, especially since she'd learned that women's underwear was much different than men's.

She was wrapped in a fleece blanket and reading a book. It was a terribly easy book, but she did have to practice reading. It still took a little longer for her to figure out what she was reading, but she was getting better.

Now that she'd been here for a little while...she was enjoying herself here.
