A lot of significant life events back in Galahd were still pretty rooted in our old hunting traditions. But I figure you and Tina probably don't want me dropping off a hunt large enough to hold a family feast in which we would arrange marriage terms. That last part these days is more done in a joking manner but the rest still holds.

I get it, he's your family and you gotta watch out for your family.

Not at all. I'll be doing the same. I try not to get too bogged down by the whole any of us could vanish without notice thing but always hard not to when those damn notifications go up.

Permanent isn't really a guarantee even without all this nonsense but I hate feeling completely powerless on it. But I'm with you on the making the best of it, even on the days it maybe feels a little futile.

I think it's on days like this, that it's most important to keep trying. Because on the other side of it is just a pit of dispair and I'm a little tired of those.

Pit of despair is a little dramatic there, Barnes. But sadly pretty accurate. I spent - too long - in one when I first got here. Not really looking for a repeat performance. Here's hoping the universe doesn't have other ideas.

On a less dramatic note, between Julia and Barton I probably have to hire again. Which is the worst.

I don't mind at all. The only nights I'm not looking to work are the 5th and the night of the wedding, but the fifth isn't a must as long as you'll let me go outside and set off some fireworks for a bit.

Yeah, I get that. Losing people - fucking sucks, isn't really any other way to put it. I know it feels pretty hollow half the time in light of everything but I am sorry. If you need a break from the bar just let me know.
