If the gentleman next to me doesn't stop nervously telling me every horror story about September 11th he's ever heard, I'm going to throw him out of the plane.
When you're embarking on a life altering mission of service in a far away country, freaking out about the plane ride there seems kind of ridiculous.
I hope I do well. Two years didn't seem so long, yesterday. |

Bleh. Giving blood always makes me sleepy. Luckily, I don't have training today.
Last day of classes is next week. Should know if I've got AIDS or mono or whatever by then. Not that I think I do, or anything.
Going to stop typing now, I swear. Just as soon as I get to the portkey.
Should have asked Sophie to come. We could have gotten lunch together, and I'd have something to do beside spam the comm.

So, this is it. One last test, and then a physical where they pump me full of antibodies and vaccines, and then I'll be in Samoa.
It's kind of surreal, honestly. I thought I'd be more excited one way or the other, but I'm more interested in having the test done with than anything else. |

So, long story short, I'm apparently a pilot in the American Air Force. I ship out in a week.
I would like to spend some time with people before then, preferably not all family members.
Also, the irony can stop anytime now, life.
On the positive side, I have something to do that's at least halfway interesting. |
