Notes: So this month's edition of "Princess" came with an omake calender featuring art from some of their premier stories, including Eroica. Unfortunatly, I don't have a scanner and had to take a picture with my camera so I apologize for the glare and poor quality. This weekend I'll look into asking a friend of mine if she can scan it for me so that I can provide you with a better image.

Guns and Roses - Soundtrack for a Chase

(Yes, I groan at myself, but I couldn't resist the call of the obvious...)

This fanmix has been eating my brains, energy and what passes for my life for the past month(s). I've researched, obtained and listened to enormous amounts of music in search of the Perfect Tracks. Since perfection is not of this world, the quest is always open, but I'm pretty pleased with this one (pleased enough to grin at myself the mirror). A great tank you :D thank you goes out to partner in crime direaliete, who provided a couple of the key tracks.

Notes: I bought this cute little calendar card from '83 a while ago. A nice image of the boys, available also as part of the box set prints, among others. I've alway wondered what's happening - I (and some others I've discussed it with) thinks they look like they are warding off journalists or something ... In this card, however, the boys are also talking. Klaus is saying "To the devil!!" in German, but Dorian replies in Japanese ... I'm kind of hoping Dorian's words might be a further clue, but what is he saying? Anyone?

EDIT: Translation from caithion. *grins* He's saying: "A! Focus da!" Or: "Ah! It's Focus!" Which could be a reference to Focus News.

Notes: Hi! My nom-de-guerre is queen_golgo_13. I have heard of From Eroica with Love awhile back from Aestheticism website. Unfortuantely, at the time, I couldn't obtain any From Eroica with Love mangas and even now, the Japanese version of the series is hard to get. Recently I purchased several volumes of the series published by CMX, and I must say that it was absolutely delightful! The plot may seem outlandish but its very satirical. Add some violence, the Major's infamous cantankerous outbursts, humor, Eroica's flamboyant behavior, James' exagerrating frugality, Agent G's crossdressing, and so forth.....you have a classic series for the ages.

Notes: Hi, I hope everyone's having a nice weekend. I come bearing a few fanart, a few pictures and a few questions.

I was also incredibly, incredibly totally BEYOND lucky to find this used Japanese book store AND to find a copy of the blue Aoike Yasuko profiles book AND a copy of the first 'Z' book and depsite being an only child, I DO like to share so here are some pictures I haven't seen before on the internet so I assume it's new? Kinda..

Notes: I got a copy of the Plus Ultra book... *pause to squee* and this picture is in it. It is also my desktop wallpaper. I have always wondered where Klaus is standing. After some discussions on moonedit, the use of a magnifying glass, and an internet search, I am 99% sure it is Amsterdam and, appropriately, that is the Church of St. Nickolas in the background. One picture pointed out how the windows in the central dome are now bricked over. The ones in the picture also seem to be bricked over. OMG!

Notes: When I was going through the archives of one of the email lists a while back, someone mentioned that the Eroica characters had appeared in one of the Project A-Ko movies. So, of course, I had to see this for myself.

Here are the screencaps I made so that others wouldn't have to rent and sit through a movie waiting for a two-second cameo. ;D (Or am I the only one that nuts?)

Klaus, Dorian, James, A(?), and Lawrence

Mischa, Polar Bear, Green Badger, and... B? Looks a little lost...

That's all there was; just two still images. So, not actually animated. (If that's what they might have looked like, I guess I'm glad there was no Eroica anime...)

Notes: A few days ago we got into some random silliness about Klaus's eyebrows being the same as Spock in Star Trek. One of the other similarities I did not mention at the time were the pointed sideburns that Gene Rodenberry was trying to make a signature of the show. (And also hoped would catch on.)

Since we don't know who Klaus was modeled after, I'm wondering...
