Ending? Like, forever?

He said it's concluding, and he's starting another one soon.

Considering that he had one from before Scary Go Round and some of the characters crossed over from that, it's possible that some of the SGR people will appear in the new one. :)

Oh, that's true. Well good to know! I haven't read SGR in forever, but it still seems an alarm that it is not continuing for eternity.

Though I guess really it's a good thing. Much more professional (probably)!

Yeah, Bobbins. But it wasn't so much a some as much as it was a most. About the only characters that didn't cross over Rich and Holly, who both, IIRC, have had cameos in SGR.

The way he's ending things, he's most noticeably creating a divide between Shelley and Tackleford, so my guess is that one of those plot lines'll be picked up in the new comic (my money's on Shelley, since he's not wrapping her stuff up so much as everyone else and is shoving her off rather abruptly). We'll find out in a couple weeks!

I wonder if John Alison's new project will start off with a new art style and new characters with a new focus, then slowly remove them until they've been replaced with the cast from his first strip.

Of course, they were originally superheros (kinda).

That sounds snarkier then it was meant. JA gets better all the time, and most of those returning characters were integrated with new new characters, who are all the awesomes. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

The first one has no real punchline.

I wonder if that's a better answer when strips get maudlin and serious? Just start over again, and import whatever you want when you want to redo a joke.

'dressing well never hurt anyone, Bruce."

They are then shot, and it is implyed that it is because they dressed well.

He just used the murder of the Waynes as a punchline. What you make of that is up to you.

Personally, I think it's pretty funny.

And dressing well in this case it sure includes that pearl necklace. That infamous pearl necklance!

Hmm... Haven't read Scary-Go-Round in quite a while, but it's been around for ages. Don't blame John Allison for wanting to try something new after all these years. Could be interesting to see what he comes up with!

I miss SGR's original computer assisted art style -- it was much much prettier

Well, I'm not a regular reader of either of these, so the news doesn't really affect me - but I HAVE liked what little I've seen of 'Scary Go Round', so it's a shame it's ending. Oh, well.
A 'lamppost cow'. Hee hee!
