More Black Lantern Recruits
IGN has posted the first part one of November's Blackest Night solicitations (they decided to hold back on Blackest Night itself and the GL titles). Three of the solicitations under the cut.

Ted's back:

BOOSTER GOLD #26
Written by Dan Jurgen and Matt Sturges
Art by Dan Jurgens, Mike Norton & Norm Rapmund
Cover by Dan Jurgens & Norm Rapmund

What's blue and gold and bloody all over? This BLACKEST NIGHT tie-in issue!

Booster Gold's worst fears are realized when Ted Kord comes back as a Black Lantern intent on killing his former best friend. Good thing there's another Blue Beetle around to help - but will Jaime Reyes be too late to save Booster's life?

On sale November 11 - 40 pg, FC, $3.99 US

As is Dr. Light:

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #39
Written by James Robinson
Art and cover by Mark Bagley

The BLACKEST NIGHT darkens the skies over the Justice League in this important tie-in issue!

Can the team get it together in time to survive the return of the undead Dr. Light? Or will his now-shadowy evil strangle everybody where they stand?

On sale November 25 - 40 pg, FC, $3.99 US

And the dead Titans:

TEEN TITANS #77
Written by J.T. Krul
Co-feature written by Sean McKeever
Art by Joe Bennett & Jack Jadson
Co-feature art by Yildiray Cinar & J?lio Ferreira Cover by Joe Bennett & Jack Jadson

It's a return of the teenage dead in this BLACKEST NIGHT tie-in issue!

There's certainly no shortage of dead Teen Titans, so when the Black Lanterns come a-calling, old teammates return with a vengeance! It's a Titan's worst nightmare come true!

On sale November 25 - 40 pg, FC, $3.99 US

Any idea on the blacked out Titan?

The rest are HERE.

I don't know why, but for some reason I thought Black Hand was only bringing heroes back.

No, issue 1, the initial barrage of rings had a bunch going to the Flash Rogues' sekrit cemetery. Only one I can remember offhand is Golden Glider (always liked Golden Glider) but there were at least 2 others in there as well. So presumably, anything goes.

AUGH I WILL BE CRYING. FOREVER. OH TED. I'M SORRY YOU'RE GELATINOUS AND HORRIBLE.

Well....on the bright side he's closer to being back than he was, at least he's got a body again.

The Teen Titans bit might have been more relevant if they hadn't DONE the whole "Dead Zombie Titans come back to life" just before Infinite Crisis.

The zappy power coming out of the blacked out Titan is puzzling, I can't think of anyone who could do that, offhand. Perhaps someone they haven't killed yet.

I think it's just the ring's energies.

The zappy power coming out of the blacked out Titan is puzzling

That appears to be his ring - Phantasm, Pantha, Hawk (Dove? Hard to tell with the redesign), and Aquagirl have the same thing going on - although the blacked out guy's is darkest, the others have different tones - HawkDove's got a slightly lighter blue-grey than BlackedOutGuy, the other three are a little closer to white - and my eyes keep changing which one they perceive as darker, so I'll leave it at that. Perhaps it's an indication of how many people they've killed since returning - the darker the more power? On the other hand, Phantasm, Pantha, and BlackedOutGuy all have big power flares from their rings, where HawkDove and Aquagirl have wee ones, so maybe that's the power indicator.

Side-note, writing that paragraph pointed out just how awful that cover is...the Black Lantern colour scheme (black, silver and grey), with the earth-tones of the ground, and how most of the corpses have discoloured, and the only possible sources of colour (the live Titans, and the city) being mostly off-panel or deep into the background, deemphasized - and, looking at Beetle's glove, desaturated, somewhat - it's just a yucky cover, and not in the disgusting/scary way one would hope a zombie cover would be. It's just...unpleasantly blah.

Hey, Dr Light1 trouncing Dr Light2 in a way that makes her look pathetic and ineffectual. Great! Winick didn't give us enough of that. Glad they're rectifying this oversight with good cover design.

In other visual questions, who's arm is that supposed to be on the Titans cover? Not Cassie, she's not wearing bracers anymore for some inane lack of reason.

Well, this is better than zombie Ted coming back and then not even mentioning Booster... I'm feeling woobie about Ted (I thought he was secret alive! *sniff*) but I'm glad Booster gets to have a tie-in issue. The series needed a big tie in booster shot.. heh.

You know,it may sound weird but I would love to see a Black Lanterns army made of the Pre-Crisis alien race known as the Lexorians (those aliens that loved the mad scientist Luthor in the old days)

It could be explained thay they attempt to glorify their hero (Luthor) by killing all the Kryptonians left (Lexorians used to live on a world with a red sun,so there is a chance they could also develop superpowers under a yellow sun)

Well,a man can dream

Man, Dr. Light has got to be the most annoying of all annoying supervillains. Even Superboy Prime is more interesting to read about. But all Dr. Light talks about is rape--how he got raped, how he raped Sue, how much he likes rape, who he'll rape next. He actually made rape dull.

Normally Lantern rings have one per sector, although Earth has 3 or 4 because we're special like that.

Does EVERY dead person in the universe get a Black Ring? There has to be hundreds on Earth already. They could overwhelm the other forces in sheer number alone, even if they just shambled along and moaned...

Looking at the stance of the blacked-out Titan, I think I know who it is.
It's adult Bart Allen. The legion only rescued his essence, he still left a corpse behind.
