	Garfield. Raven. You're the comic characters. You're not in love with each other. Hell, even the cartoon characters weren't this far up each others' asses. They just had teenage UST at each other. Trying to have the comics match the cartoons doesn't help anything. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	It can, but it doesn't always. All the Titans have affection for each other but that doesn't mean they're all five seconds from climbing on top of each other in a massive Titans orgy, despite what some of us would like. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Seriously?

I don't know a single comics fan who even thought of putting them together as a couple until the cartoon shippers started using the rule of "if Male A and Female A on the same team are romantically involved, then by default Male B and Female B on the same team must also be romantically involved, no matter if they even show if they like each other or can't stand the sight of each other."

	Sometimes Male A/Female A have nothing to do with it. To many (And I do mean many), 'can't stand one another' = TRUE LOVE!<3 <3 <3 But yeah, just-slap-them-together-shipping annoys me a bit, too. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Wait, that's not true. They never had anything like that in the cartoon. It was just like Brother/Sister type deal. Even if one of the writers said how they were like an old married couple, it doesn't really matter since for all the writers, they were based on bickering siblings.

So if anything, they should try and be bitchy or annoying to one another if they are truly making the comics like the cartoons.

LOL! That's just sad. She's not like that! Dammit, how come nobody can get Raven right?

I really really hope they explain why she's so mean in the next issue. They better because I'm getting sick and tired of her being OOC! >:O

And sadly, even though she is unconscious mostly in this issue, this is the closest she's been to herself in a while. That is EXTREMELY sad. :'(

Probably because some writers probably don't know her character outside of the cartoon, so they write her as as the sarcastic snarky goth they're familiar with. (Don't get me wrong, I like Toon!Raven. I just like my Toon!Raven and Comics!Raven as separate characters)

Then again, the main man, Marv Wolfman wrote Raven saying this in response to Supergirl saying, "Aren't you supposed to be a pacifist or something?" She says, "Old body. New body, not so much." Brave & The Bold #17 an #18.

I understand. I'm the same way with this fandom. And I know you don't wanna hear it but I'm the same way with shipping in the cartoon fandom too, believe it or not! I don't ship any in there and I just completely ignore all those fans of couplings in that crazy fandom. They try and reach for anything possible (like Gar and Raven for example)and I just don't do that. Now the comics is different for me, and I personally liked how Geoff wrote it out. I can actually see nice polite shy Raven with Gar, but not when she's incredibly mean and snarky, like how it is in Titans. So I can see where you don't like it and find it incredibly annoying.

And reading that Marv quote just reminds me of how he just doesn't care anymore. I guess he's just not as invested in his characters as he was back in the good old days. :\

	If Marv still cared about his characters, he wouldn't have let Damion Scott pencil her mini-series, especially since we waited over a year for the mini and got a product that most people on deviantART probably could have drawn better. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
