Well we can't all be blessed with brilliant ideas like "a less amusing Joker" (although I'm sure there are people out there that thought him saying a few variations on "this whole situation is the joke!" was the height of hilarity). Complete with a bullet-hole on the forehead, because obviously what we needed was something to draw more attention to just how ridiculous it is that nobody's killed him yet. I'm sure us fans of the Mark Hamill-type Joker yadda yadda yadda.

And as for "a Riddler too stupid to solve a problem without relying on someone else"? I assume you're talking about the time Riddler used a chat room for amateur detectives to pick their brains? Didn't Batman do something similar? It's just that Riddler was more dishonest about it. And damned if I can see what's wrong with that.
