RP: Wedding plans
When: March 15, 2000
Character/Pairing: Theo/Pansy, Natalie, Draco/Millie, others?
Rating: Pg-13 is my prediction, but you never know
Warnings: mushyness, etc
Summary: Pansy and Theo plan and have their wedding.
Theo woke early despite the late night to send off some owls and prepare to go to the Ministry. First he composed the one to Natalie.
Dear Natalie,
Forgive the earliness of the hour, but I find myself in need of your particular expertise. Rather unexpectedly, Pansy finds herself in need of a wedding dress, as we suddenly decided to get married. Of course, my mind immediately went to you and your exquisite designs. Is there any way you could help us out? In order to avoid her mother, among other things, we were hoping to have a simple ceremony tonight or tomorrow.
I would be forever grateful--and, of course, I am as always willing to pay.
Many thanks for your time,
Theodore Nott
And, as always hardwired into his courtesies, he wrote off a quick note to Draco and Millicent to make certain they'd be free to meet later. He would rather they ask in person.
Draco,
Pansy and I were wondering if we could drop by and talk to you and Millie sometime today, if you're free? Many thanks for your time.
Theo
He then dressed and prepared to go to the ministry with Pansy so they could fill out the endless but requisite paperwork, to the many glares of the grizzled old maid at the desk. He expedited the process with personal quills that would help it along by filling out his personal information. The crone--really, she was so nasty acting Theo was having trouble even thinking a remotely nice thought about her--made a nasty remark or three about the haste with which they were wishing to wed, especially seeing as how Theo had brought Peter along. He was hard put to remain civil to her, which made him even angrier as this was supposed to be a good day for him.
She went over every single sheet with an eagle eye, pointing out any error she possibly could and making Theo redo it. In the end, however, she harrumphed and stacked the papers neatly and gave him an approximation fo a smile.
"It all seems to be in order, but there is a two week waiting period for approval and mandatory premarital counseling for all couples seeking valid marriage," she said in her creaky voice.
"What counseling?" Theo asked in his soft but angry voice. He had never heard of any mandatory counseling before.
"It's new. Legally required." She smiled, showing crooked teeth.
