Off the Island

Ok, Islanders!

As you can see from this post, there are some parties going on on Revolve Friday! Owners, perfect time to get together and make frennimies! Owners are free to bring their mutant to the party, but keep in mind that mutants will be booted out of the Hotel if they misbehave (Wade). That surely can't be good for the owner's reputation!

The Mutant's Ball is going to be little more than a cheesy high school dance. No seriously. As much as the Scott twins try, it's going to be little more than paper streamers and punch bowls. Doesn't stop teenagers, why should it stop mutant prisoners from having some fun with it? This is, of course, just the setting, we're on an island full of people with powers, who's to say they can't spice up the party with some powers. ...or sneaked alcohol in the punch bowl? Keep in mind, repercussions for breaking rules will happen the next day, so make sure it's worth it!
Also, for those who don't have formal wear, through the magic of some unnamed mutant on Revolve, all purchased clothing will arrive in time for the dance! ... the magic of mutant powers. *shifty eyes* Unless, of course, you want to traumatize your character by their being the only one without a pretty outfit. That's fine too!

These will run like the Block reaction threads, with one starter post and everyone is free to tag off of that and form little groups, or split off into their own threads. So, start looking for dates, plotting to ruin the event or practicing stripping as fast as possible to streak!

Hello, Islanders~!

This post is long so here is the TL;DR rundown:
Blue Block and half of Yellow Block are destroyed.
Blue Block mutants are mostly being housed in Green. Yellow Block mutants are mostly being housed in Red. If you want your Blue housed in Red or your Yellow housed in Black, please comment or they will be defaulted.
Multiple injuries to mutants and loss of lots of property. Plot accordingly.

Humans must submit to a blood test upon returning to the island to prove they do not carry the X-gene.
Phoenix, Wild Child and Mastermind are all missing.
A group reaction thread is here, feel free to start individual tag lines off the main thread or start your own private one.

David will be online all day to answer questions or offer ideas for how to react to this event. You are free to IM him or post questions you think others might have here to get answers. We can also throw up a group chat if you all would like to get together and figure out how groups of characters will react. We know we made some big promises, we hope this has lived up to them! ;)

Hello, lovelies~!

For those of you who missed the announcement in the chat last night, we wanted to recap the information and give you all time to prepare for it. Our lovely mod Xi is going to be phasing herself out of the game, as at the end of July she may well have to leave the game as she is moving--to China! This is a very big and exciting event for her, even if we will miss her terribly. Before anyone starts to panic, we want to assure that the game is not closing, we will be continuing on and David will be looking for a co-mod eventually.

That said, the plot we are cooking up to work her out should be very exciting! It will take place in a few weeks and will result in the destruction of at least one block, at least one death and could result in escapes and all around in-character drama fun~! More details will be revealed as we near the date, so stay tuned!

If you want to be involved in the July Tournament, please comment here, and adding in how far you would like to see your mutant get would be glorious. Commenting before Friday (the 26th) would be ideal if possible. ( More info on Tournaments )

Ok, Islanders! We have a big event planned and want to bring you all in on the celebration!

( Celebrate good times--come on! )

We will be having the monthly tournament on the 6th, however, anyone who takes part in the 6 months event will only be required to write out one thread for the tournament. This will let us keep the tournament up but not totally overwhelm you awesome people. Please sign your mutants up for the tourney here.

Also. Xi has fallen into some RL issues and is going to be busy the next week-ish. That means David's going to be the person to come to with problems/issues/concerns/etc. Send her some love and please bear with David and his scattered brain.

Hey guys, David here. :3

So uh. My boss is out on vacation for the week and I just discovered that I'm apparently second in command. My attention is scattered everywhere and so I'll probably be flustered until late on Friday, please forgive me for it. <3

That said, I still plan on having the breakout plot happen this week. It'll happen around 2:00AM on either Wednesday or Thursday. Humans will be thinking about exiting the island shortly and mutants will already be in lockdown, a lot probably asleep. First thing that will happen is that collars will stop working, and approximately ten minutes after that, every electronic door on the island (this includes cell doors, block doors, etc) will open and be STUCK open.

Mutants will have just under an hour before the cause is discovered and stopped. After an hour, collars will start to work again and cell doors will be closed. But those who are already out and running on the island? They'll have to be manually tracked down and dragged back. So start thinking what your charrie will do. Try and make a break for it? Raid the bar? Some could even be asleep and wake up JUST in time to have the Block doors slam in their faces. Humans who are on the island, what a freak out that will lead to! Will they be hurt by a mutant grasping at the straws of freedom? Much fun to be had.

Oh, and because I forgot.
With collars not working, guards will be equipped with stun guns, pepper spray, cattle prods, in some cases the power-repressing serum put into a gun, tranquilizer guns and riot grenades. (little exploding ball filled with hundreds of tiny plastic balls, it blows and flings the balls in every direction. Painful shit!) Those closer to Fischer's compound will be equipped with these within minutes of the collars going down, those further away will take up to half an hour to get one, so those who are near the sand/dirt arenas will meet with armed resistance a lot sooner than those who are in the park or near Yellow/White blocks or in the amusement park. As is always our policy, feel free to kill random NPC's. >:3

Hello islanders.

So, as you know, a tournament is coming up on the 7th, that's this Saturday. Since not everyone will be able to make the chat, and because it's much easier to have the plot down on page that is easy to access, I'm tossing this thread up for discussion of the tournament. No one is required to fight, but it makes for some fun plot!

So, I ask people to please post out their mutants, if they are going to be in the tournament and if you have preferences on if they win or lose the first round, and if there's anyone you'd like for them to fight. There will be plenty of NPC's for people to fight, but squaring off against another player can lead to awesome dramarific plot bunnies.

So, post away and feel free to poke other players for potential matchups. I'll do my best to keep a running list of who is in, who is out, and who wants to go how far here for reference :3

Remy's gonna run a poker game for New Years. $100 buys you a seat at the table, though you can bring more money than that if you like.

Might be a good social event for some, or at least you know something to spectate on that doesn't involved bloodshed.
