Newcomers

So I'm new to insane journal, and I'm having trouble with formatting my journal entries, particularly when I post it, then try to edit the post. Some journal entries that I view on other people's journals have a link in the entry that takes you to an "extended" version of the entry in a manner of speaking, but it's all the same entry. Does anyone know how to do this? Also, is there any way to change the way I view the text when I'm editing a journal entry that has already been posted to the "rich text" option?

On a side note, I apologize if this is not the place to ask questions. I just couldn't find the information I need any where else, and I pretty sure the support board people are tired of seeing questions popping up from me at this point.

I am new here and will be mostly using it to write personal entries much liek a regular diary. I do want to start one or two communities, one to talk about horror books, the other to talk about movies. I have posted them but am leaving them be for the moment until I learn all I can about maintaining them and whatnot.

Other than that, not much to say right now.

Not new to journaling, and semi-new to insanejournal. my last name on her was ~pillish. I used to d mad drugs andparty all the time, but now I'm pregnant and trying to get back on my feet. I'm 21 and engaged, and for the most part, I'm happy. I miss the crazy lifestyle of raves and parties and all that, but ya gotta grow up sometime, and what better force behind me to help me change?

I'm fun, witty, sarcastic, and bubbly. I'm mad chill, and I hate drama. I laugh at people who try to hurt me, but I can cut deeply with the words that sometimes come out of my mouth. I both love and hate everyone at the same time.

Yo. I created this account because I wanted complete anonymity, so I'm afraid I won't be sharing much of the usual background information about myself. I'm 20 years old, I came here because DeadJournal (my first choice) doesn't give out free accounts, GreatestJournal was down, and for some reason I didn't want to just go back to good ol' LJ.

I'm going to use this place for angsting and for talking about the things that are just too taboo to say in public or that I don't want my family to know about me. Hey All ! I am 48 , Female ! I live in Socal ! I am loooking for a job right now ( Well , not right this sec anyways ! ) . I am not near the beach right now but love it . I love to read Bios , Stephen King , Dean Koontz, Jonathan Kellerman and movies , and going out with friends to play pool and every once in awhile the casino . My name varies on a day-o-day basis. I live and go to school in Florida, majoring in Journalism. Activities include writing, painting, taking care of my snakes, and frequenting random bars.

I came to insanejournal because I'm trying to document the events that have been happening in my life lately, and though I have a livejournal account, I don't feel like dealing with 90% of my friends on that site. They all know me personally, and I'd rather post to completel strangers. It encourages me to be a little bit more honest with what I'm writing because my "friends" get offended easily. Problem is, I have to hear them complain later. One angry comment by a complete stranger isn't going to phase me in the least.

My favorite thing about this site is the annonymity I have (so far).

I don't know what kind of friends I'm looking for on this site, but I would need someone with an open mind. I'm not exactly a role-model, either.

My name is Natali, I come from Croatia and I work in a travel agency. By education I am computer systems analyst, but I haven't been working in the trade for almost 20 years. I always nose around though, and for the last seven years I am maintaining the website of the agency that employs me, which website I also created. And on my free time I visit on-line communities, and play computer games, or better a computer game, Heroes of Might an Magic, all of them, from 3DO to Ubisoft. I read a lot, like music (prefer rock, delta blues, R&B) and I used to draw, but didn't do that either for a long time, and lately I am seriously contemplating to find time for that as well.
I heard about InsaneJournal on Lois McMaster Bujold mailing list I am a member of, another member told me that there is some fine roleplaying here, and I always wanted to give it a try.
I cannot say anything about favorite things here, for I joined only today. I am still investigating and figuring stuff out.
I came here looking for a roleplay that would attract me, but I would probably explore around some. At the moment I do not know how active a member I will be. Let's see what happens :)

2) Tell us why you came to InsaneJournal. Did someone from IJ tell you (and if so, who)? Well, I have been doing Nanorimo for 2 years now and have been having a blast with writing. When my friend mentioned role playing i thought that it might keep my mind active until November comes along again. Nicole does have an IJ and sent me the link for it to get me started.

I'm a photographer and I live part time in Las Vegas with my family, at the moment I'm in South-Africa for another few years. It's a long story. Well, greatestjournal turned into a pile of crap, and I needed a place where I could keep in touch with my friends who have journals too, so I came here, after Leslie suggested it. I just started using it again about a month ago. .. so I thought I'd try my luck here and see if I can get in touch with some old friends and new friends again...

3) What is your favorite thing, so far, about InsaneJournal? It lets me vent as much as I want.. when I want. And I love posting my photography sometimes for everyone to see.

I independently sell books, ATC Original Editions, Altered Art books and journals, and Plastic Jewelry for kids and cosplay costumes.
