I'm new and I'm still deciding if I like keeping a journal like this. My American friends like it so I thought I'd give it a try. I appreciate friends...I'm 21 and am currently living in South Africa finishing my Bachelors. Next year I'm thinkin Germany would be a good plan...

Hi. I'm new to IJ, I've been on LJ for a few months now. I have 3 blog sites, and I'm doing NaNoWriMo next month for the first time. I've always been a writer (30+ years) but I haven't always written. I'm mainly looking for possible friendships with mature, intelligent people who take writing as seriously as breathing: do it or die (or in my case, end up in an institution more than once.) To me maturity is not measured solely in terms of age, and intelligence is not solely measured in years of formal education.

I'm not really new here, I've had IJ for a couple mos now, but it's just now starting to make a tiny bit of sense to me. I just got int. access back recently & when I tried to re-register for Greatest Journal, they told me to go to IJ instead, so that's what I did. 

So, I guess I'll say a little abt myself..... I'm (hopefully, unless anything happens) going to Cleveland State University beginning in Jan to study History, so that I can eventually get my MLIS (Master of Library & Information Science) to become a librarian. I'm very excited! :D This is a really big step for me since I have really serious social anxiety disorder which I've dealt with for most of my life. Bc of it, my life has been sort-of non-existent & I've never done any of the things that everyone has done by the time they're my age (26). I'm also very lonely a lot of the time bc of it . I've been getting help this last yr for my probs & am planning to have a normal life someday, tho I know it'll take time. I also have insomnia which is why I'm up at 2:30 in the morning posting something to IJ lol.

That's doesn't say much abt me, but I guess it'll have to do for now :)

im kris. i didnt really come here to meet new people. i more or less came here because greatest journal wouldnt allow me to post there. nothing exciting here.... just wanted a place to transfer my comp book,incase anything ever happens to it i will have it here. read it or not. i dont care. like it or not.. i dont care.... coment or not.. i dont care. again.. nothing exciting... i wish i would have done this with my other journal because its gone now due to the beautiful weather of the sunshine state flooding everything in miles from me, and erasing my memories...

I've actually been a member at IJ for maybe a month or so now. Haven't really got into it all that much. But I would like to, so I've been joining communities and such; nothing really active, though. :(

My name is Rachel, though almost everyone shortens it to Rach eventually.

I'm currently very much into Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I love reading. I love writing; I've written a handful of original stories as well as mounds of fanfic. I like outdoor sports and indoor board games.

I love school/learning. I just graduated college with an Associates degree (yay.... finally!) and am taking a few random classes this year while I work on my GPA and then am transferring to another college next year to get started working on my Bachelors.
