Okay We still got a couple days until the next Grotto party. And it's been a minute since the last meme, but this game is like seventy percent journals, so there's a lot of character actions that get lost in translation but also are probably kinda super important.

SO we should have a Getting to know YOUR character meme. ~~I don't know how to make the special text box within a box thing on our getting to know you meme, because apparently that was a question I forgot to ask during our html tutorial.~~

The questions are subject to change, because it doesn't matter. We don't go over apps that often after people join the game, so now is your time to gush about your characters so we as students attending the same school as your characters can know them as well as you do.

Behavior out of class: Are they massive assholes? Do they live in detention? Do these assholes who claim to punch people actually punch them?
Clique: Probably more obvious on the journals, but who do they stick to on a daily basis. Do they have class wives? Who do they cling to for specific classes? WHO DO THEY EAT LUNCH WITH?
Music: Music is a vital part of high school. What tunes do they play in the cabin and are they obnoxious about it?
Physical disposition: Are they quieter in real life? Are they more relaxed? Are they funnier? Bonus question - what is their physical disposition right now, since that shit changes on a weekly basis? Are they more quiet than usual?
Sexual partners: Any kind of sexual, not just actual sex. Can be specific, can be a vague number. How experienced is this kid and how well known is that?
Rumors: What do other kids say about this kid? How much of that is true. WHAT IS THE GOSSIP, YO

Literally whatever you want to share about your characters, that you feel are vital to other students or friends, that are your personal headcanons, come and fucking gush about your characters, yo.

Age: 17
Birthing order and has this affected them:Cricket has a touch of middle child syndrome, especially when it comes to attention from her mother. Preston in the first born son and he receives a lot of praise for things Cricket would consider... just decent human behavior. Ulysses is the baby! And that's okay, because she loves that he is the cutest lil baby ever. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to be competitive with Preston, especially since they both have political aspirations and very different political views (read: Preston is an elitist asshole). He was in Coppertale and graduated last year and I think part of why she is just now... doing whatever she is doing with Wes... is because Preston would have been really rude about her seeing someone who isn't magical elite.
Daily schedule: Cricket is an early riser (like 6:30am). She likes to be at breakfast very early and read the paper before anyone else shows up. She spends a lot more time studying in the library than my obsessive commenting would have you believe. She does a lot of her reading in the stables too. I don't think she spends all that much time in her cabin, just because she gets easily distracted by hot gossip. She has rounds after dinner, which sometimes keep her up late, but usually, she goes to bed around 10:30. If she is up past midnight on a school night, you can guess that something is probably wrong.
Pet Peeves: People who talk during class. SHUT UP! JUST LISTEN! Basically any stereotypically 'rude' behavior - chewing loudly, excessive swearing, wearing hats at meal times, popping your gum. Most of these things she lets slide without comment, but they grate on her. Feeling out of control.
Sleeping situation: Cricket sleeps in sweet short sets. Silk in the summer and flannel in the winter! She braids her hair every night (or makes Maggie do it).
Behavior in class: She sits in the front row whenever she can, takes creepily neat notes, always raises her hand, asks a lot of clarifying questions (sorry guys!). She usually isn't the first to jump to answer questions, though.

Lately, however, people may notice that she doesn't seem as prepared for class and is rushing to turn in assignments. She has been working on SOMETHING ELSE and is a little distracted.
Behavior out of class: Pretty much how she is on the journals. Warm, helpful, and right on the border of flirtatious and friendly. She waves to everyone she sees. Stops to ask about your day. Offers to help you with books. BUT! That's only when you can find her. She likes to squirrel herself away in the back corner of the library or the stables, because if you can't find her then she doesn't have to do anything for you. Then why does she keep offering to do things for people anyway, you may ask? I don't know! It's a compulsion!
Clique: TAKE A WILD GUESS! I like to think Cricket doesn't talk on the journals with Maggie&Nate all that much, because they are constantly together and have nothing new to say.
Music: She listens to old school country (think Dolly Parton) and mainstream poppy music (think Taylor Swift). I don't think she really listens to much music in the cabin though and would never be obnoxious about it.

Physical disposition: When she knows someone is watching her or when she thinks she is alone?? Because they're very different! When she is being performative, she is bubbly, bouncy, always smiling. I can't say warm enough. Most people at school think this is really how she acts all the time and I imagine she comes across as a bit of a psycho.

When she doesn't think people are watching or when she is too worked up to be calculating, she has a very expressive face and often looks pensive or worried. Homegirl is sad. She is a very anxious person and cries at least once, pretty much every day. (Godbless Mina the secret keeper). People who know her well or are paying attention will notice that she has seemed off lately and it's only getting increasingly worse.

I also wanted to note that she is rarely as dolled up as her icons make her seem. She wears barely any makeup at Camp Highschool (maybe undereye concealer and like... chapstick) and usually has her hair in a long, plain french braid.

Sexual partners: Cricket is THIRSTY but also very high strung, which is a dangerous combination. If she has no emotional connection with you, she is much more likely to casually make out. People she actually likes are held off under fear that a crush will turn into a full blown (unreciprocated) obsession.

She dated Nate when they were like 12-13, but they probably never did more than hold hands. She made out with Dom a couple times sometime during her Sophomore and Junior years, idk. Other than that, I think all her sexual experiences have been out of school or belong to some yet unplayed character. She's much skankier back home where she is Queen Bee and can kind of hook-up with people at parties and shake them off. I know she's not a virgin (I'm imagining some ol' flame back in Tennesse - probably named like... Tucker...). Fuck you, Tucker. She also went through a little experimentation phase with a girl while she was in London last year, but it wasn't her fav.
Rumors: I'm sure plenty of people realize she is fake (cough Rosy).

Some people think her familiar, Kitty, is actually her in animangus form since they are almost never seen together. He likes to sit and stare at people really creepily and make you feel judged. He is a Grotto party regular.

Almost everyone knows who her parents are and there is chatter that her dad is gonna run for Prez.

Maybe some douche thinks she's pregnant, because they've caught her anxiety attack puking in the bathroom! Idk! Go wild!
