Another way of making bullets is adding them manually using:
[ • ] bullet = black small circle [ name: • ] [ number: • ]
from Hearts, Shamrocks and Symbols.

Numbered List.

ol - ordered list
li - list item

Result:

Number 1
Number 2
Number 3

Definition List:
Not used as often as bulleted or numbered lists but can be handy when needed.

dl - definition list
dt - definition term
dd - definition description

Result:

Fanfiction: Fiction written by fans.
Insane Journal: The most sane one right now.

Notice:
Don't type HTML into the Rich text window. Switch to HTML first (top right button of your Update Journal window)

This method has no end tag. It is self-limiting, i.e. just the "one" tab per tag. How to do it? "< dd >". Remove the quotes and spaces when using.
