Who: Heather and Cassidy When / Where: Lunch today, at the only pizza buffet in Colligo that serves apple beer. Shush. There is too such a thing as apple beer. Why: Because Heather is sure a little kissing never hurt anybody and Cassidy's willing to be her test subject.
He really had no idea what he was doing, but that was normal for him. Cassidy had always just barrelled ahead, sure that if he just kept up appearances things would fall into place. He liked Heather, he trusted her, he was at his most relaxed around her. This wouldn't be a problem. And Cassidy made very sure he ignored that voice in his head that was still doubtful.
When he got to the buffet and saw no sign of Heather, Cassidy panicked for a bit, stepping from foot to foot. Did she decide not to come? But that thought was ludicrous. Heather would be more of a stomp the shit out of him kinda girl rather than a stand him up kinda girl. She seemed more hands on. Hands on. Cassidy swallowed. He was both terrified and excited. Anticipation swirled in his chest. With another look around he stepped into the restaurant, seated himself in a booth that gave him a wide view of the entrance.
Heather. HEATHER. Her name, lately, had been on permanent capslock in his brian.
