Heather wasn't a nervous person. A little damaged maybe, and a little anti-social, but not nervous, especially not around Cassidy. He was her best friend, she could tell him anything, and she had more fun with him than anyone else. And yet...as she left the room she shared with him -- at least before he'd taken up to sleeping in the teacher's lounge at school -- and headed towards the pizza place he'd told her to meet him at, she felt her stomach twisting into itself quite a bit. It wasn't necessarily a bad feeling, in fact she kind of liked it, but it wasn't something she was used to.
Showing up at the place in what had to be record time, she still found Cassidy already waiting for her there. He wasn't hard to spot with the booth he'd picked to sit in, but even if he'd tucked himself away into the very back of the restaraunt, Heather still thought she could pick him out anywhere.
It was impossible to keep herself from grinning ear to ear when she met his gaze, even if she was trying to keep things as casual as ever. She couldn't help it though. She was excited, for the first time in a long time.
"Hey Lloyd," she greeted as she approached the booth and slid in right next to him. Whether or not they'd discussed kissing wasn't an issue. She would've sat beside him anyway. But now, being so close to him again only made her want to kiss him more, and she wondered what his reaction would be if she just did it, without asking, without giving any warning.
