Between things seeming to fall apart with Noah, and a significant lack of anything to really do, Parker had decided it was time to go. Before, she hadn't been very interested in leaving. Aside from Hardison, her friends were here. Her blooming... whatever it was, with Noah, had also been a sticking point. As had the interesting people she interacted with, most of whom didn't seem to care all that much that she wasn't like everyone else. In fact, most everyone in the city was unique in some way or another and it had made for curious meetings that had kept her interest.
Until now. Now, she was ready to leave. And while she had no doubt that the Star Trek people were scanning every corner of the city in search of a scientific answer, and that the 'special' people were using every ability in their various arsenals to try and escape, there was one thing she had over them that she knew would make it possible for her to get past the city limits.
She was Parker.
A great many people would scoff at her arrogance. Those people didn't know her, though. They didn't know what she was capable of, didn't know the things she'd done and the almost gifted knack she had for solving riddles just like this one. Being trapped was a major hazard when you were a thief by trade, after all. So just as she was the best thief in the world, Parker was also the best escape artist in the world. And whereas before she had come up with an escape plan just to see if she could, now she was ready to put her plan into action. She was even willing to share it with someone else.
That was, of course, if he showed up. Glancing at her watch as it reached eight thirty on the dot, she busied herself with zipping up her leather jacket and double-checking that she had enough supplies in the backpack she would be taking with her. Her harness, zip-line, and various other 'tools of the trade' were all present and accounted for. As was a decent enough stock of food and water - just in case. She also had her gun, and a taser, and a small amount of cash. The rest she'd left in her account and had dropped instructions on how to retrieve it in the mail for Noah and Claude to receive in a few days, in case she didn't make it back or find a way to contact them. She figured it was the least she could do, to repay them for letting her crash in their apartment.
Frowning a bit at the thought of Noah, Parker might have gotten caught up in her own somewhat morose thoughts yet again if it hadn't been for the rumble of a truck in the distance. Pulling out her binoculars, she watched as the truck began to unload its haul at a warehouse across the street. As per usual, it was just one person in the truck - the driver. So far, so good.
"Alright Captain guy," she muttered under her breath as she slid the binoculars into her backpack and slung it over her shoulders. "If you're coming, you'd better get here. It's time to go."
