"Whatever," Parker responded flatly as she glanced at the tricorder. Blinking, for the briefest of seconds she appeared almost transfixed by the strange piece of technology. "Ooh. Shiny..." she breathed. Then she shook herself out of her state of awe and re-focused on the road in time to avoid driving up on the sidewalk. Once she was certain she wasn't going to hit a pedestrian, building, or anything else for that matter, she spoke again.
"When you try to leave the city normally, you end up back in the library without a memory of what got you from the city limits to the library again, right?" she glanced briefly at him, as though he should already know the answer, and gave an exasperated sigh as she looked back to the street in front of her. "If that happens to us this time, maybe that tripod-thinga-whatsit will pick up something. Something useful."
