Who: Elia, Kaelyn, Myrwin When: Day 46, morning Where: Red Keep Status: Open- anyone else before or after
The sunlight in the courtyard had been more welcome than she cared to admit. The chance to relax in the bright warmth of the day and a sweet absence of poppies and dreamwine had soothed her mood. It had taken days of near sobbing, storming and being as utterly unconsoleable as she could manage to convince Dymon to let her out even for a few minutes. It had possibly helped that something they'd given her had resulted in her spending half the night retching so Syrah had joined Elia in suggesting that the princess be nowhere around when the room was cleaned. She had reopened her side again, and her left wrist but the luxury of feeling a breeze on her face was worth it. At least... nearly worth it.
Her hair was not in its usual style since she hadn't the patience and her darts would have been useless since she couldn't have drawn them; instead her dark hair was loose and bound only by the jeweled suns at her brow. Her complexion was pale but otherwise she'd managed some semblance of her usual self- the bandages were covered by full sleeves gathered at the wrist and a bodice gathered high under her breasts. It was a fashion more of the Free Cities than Kings Landing but the idea of lacing a bodice across her ribs was enough to make her ill. The only accession she made to the lack of dreamwine was that she leaned on Derran as she returned to her rooms. Her steps were already faltering and she had to trust him to get her through the suddenly bewildering maze of corridors. She'd still won, and that was something. She only wished she wasn't stumbling over her own feet- it was so hard to appreciate victory when you couldn't move properly.
The guards opened the doors and Elia waved Derran off though she used the door to hold herself up for a moment. If she fell in her own room what harm? She paused to toss her cloak on a nearby chair when a soft noise alerted her she was not alone. Her heart stopped.
She turned slowly, drawing breath to scream if need be.
