Kaelyn had had enough of this place, Kings Landing had given her back her daughter only to show itself a place she wanted her children nowhere near. She had not known the Targaryen girl - how could she, the Princess had not left her rooms since the Starks had come and even that had not saved her in the end. But there had not been two deaths and perhaps that was small mercy.
She had not known what possessed her to call on Princess Elia - whatever advice she had been given from the Master of Whispers - perhaps it might even have worked if there had been time to make the offer, surely nought she said would make a difference. But she was Queen she could not say and do nothing and ignore the Martell girls plight.
It had perhaps cheered her somewhat to hear that Princess Elia was out of bed, if her reasons for wishing recovery on the girl were not entirely unselfish they were genuine. And though Elia was not there, the servants had bade her wait for the Princesses return. She was admiring the view from Elia's window surprised the servants had left her alone and with no wish to appear to be prying. (Indeed she had no wish to pry - whatever one was like to find in the room of a Dornish woman, Kaelyn wanted no part.)
She did briefly see the shock on Elia's face and wondered if this was a mistep - she could have sent a note. "Princess," she said carefully, not moving from the window - indeed she had not troubled to remove her own sky blue cloak, "forgive the intrusion, your women said I might wait here for you."
