"Myrwin, stop." Elia sighed and ran a hand through her hair as she tried to clear those thoughts out of her head. "If they put me to question, I suppose that'll get the confession they're wanting and the matter will be settled." She turned away and took a seat, looking up at him with tired eyes. "It's a waste of their time in any case- what concessions could they win? And if they convict me then you'll have one less source of expense back home." She smiled.
The issue of a trial by champion was something she wanted to avoid. The last prince of Dorne to enter into one of those was still a subject the singers liked to bring up. "Trial by combat? Wouldn't that make a lovely song. If they really have a sense of humor they could name Prosperyn as William's champion."
