Was he being serious right now? Okay the pony names wasn't so bad, but she did not want to think of Dimitri or Christian given what had gotten her up here to begin with. Gross. She needed to get a grip. Just focus.
Focus.
Ugh she missed the ceiling of the whorehouse. She'd bump her head and come down. That at least worked. That and Spencer with her papers for her to sign. Jill just needed to focus and she would be fine. Everything would be fine.
Peachy even.
Ugh.
Then she heard it. The low moan. At first she looked down to see if maybe Adrian was doing it to freak her out, but he seemed oblivious. Crap, his senses were dulled as a human. There was no telling how close that moan was coming from, but it was not alone. She heard two more.
Damn it, she had him in the wilderness with zombies and she was stuck in the air. If he got hurt...and like that, she suddenly launched down toward him, picking him up and flying them both away from the sound before coming to a landing near the treeline of the wilderness edge. Dropping him without too much concern if he got a little injured after his jokes at her, she stood with her hands on her hips and arched an eyebrow at him.
"Zombies. I heard them moaning. Are you okay? I didn't mean to drink so much. Got a little carried away."
