Did he want to scream? He didn't care one way or another about that, but he did wonder if she really could get it out of him. The answer to that question was probably one that didn't need answering right now. He'd think about that later. Much, much later.
He felt his heart beating fast when she placed her hand over his chest. The order to run surprised him and he dropped to his feet. He looked at her questioningly but one look at her and he knew she was serious. Was Neal's body in shape? He was about to find that out.
"Catch me if you can," he said and then he was gone. Neal's body moved fast but he hardly was going to be able to run from a vampire for a long time. He darted through trees and didn't look back because he knew after a few moments he'd start to hear her coming up behind him soon.
It wasn't much of a diversion, but he swerved sharply to the left and ran through a group of trees and held up his hands to block the branches, but one came up and smacked him a little in the face. His heart was pumping fast now and it was only going to lead her right to him.
