Who: Dimitri, Viktoria, Nathan, and Inna
What: Seeing the sister and the ex-sire
When: Last night
Warnings: Language, threats of violence but no actual violence.. probably
The moment Dimitri was told he could see his sister, he gave the location to Natasha and left the prison without much word other than telling the sentry on duty he would be back in a couple of hours. It wasn't uncommon for him to leave by himself even if it wasn't something he did very often. Thankfully, neither Rose or Christian were in the towers. He didn't have time to explain where he was headed and telling either of them would only mean the news would spread and that he could not risk. Viktoria's life was in the balance and he was taking every precaution possible.
He wanted to reach the pharmacy early to see if he could tell what direction Nathan came in from. It wouldn't give him much to go on, but it would be something. Over a half hour early, Dimitri took a spot on the roof and watched the horizon from all directions. He settled into a crouch and waited, alone in his thoughts.
As hard as he tried, he couldn't stay completely focused. His thoughts were plaguing him, insisting that this was his doing. He knew that he hadn't been the Strigoi that had committed the acts done those months ago. His soul had been torn away from him and the essence of who Dimitri was had been destroyed however the memories did not leave him once Lissa restored him. The memories and the guilt had been pieces of his past he'd struggled with, but he'd also come a long way. Now he wondered if it would have been better for others if Rose had been able to kill him that first day or if she'd succeeded in staking him on that bridge. It certainly would have been better for Viktoria.
The area in front of him was quiet and empty. The air was cold against his skin, but he paid it no mind, keeping his eyes peeled for movement. Occasionally he would hear the groan of a zombie, but nothing more. It had to be close to that hour mark and Dimitri was beginning to wonder if Nathan had changed his mind when finally he heard sounds of heavy footsteps from a distance away.
Peering out ahead, he saw three figures coming towards the pharmacy. The direction gave him the idea that they'd come from the projects, but it was possible they'd switched up their route. It made sense for him to hold her there, it allowed cover and seclusion and it would have been what Dimitri would do. He slinked back into the shadows and dropped from the roof, entering the pharmacy. It wouldn't be long until they walked inside.
