She listened fascinated as Eric spoke. While she wasn't the type to view humans that way, she could see that a lot of the elder vampires seemed to share the view. It must come with age, and the fact they had strength to back up their protection.
"We can't feed from those in the prison. It would turn them into addicts, and then that would put them at risk. Given the safety in the prison comes from numbers as well as those who have the enhanced abilities, it would eventually put everyone at risk."
Jill was polite as she spoke. Sometimes she wished they had the strength like the other vampires. Or that they could feed without turning someone into an addict. It would make things easier. Though she wondered if they would still be welcomed there if they could have been perceived as a threat.
"It's a little funny. The humans who are most scared of anyone who isn't human lump us in with vampires, but I think maybe the vampires with the traditional abilities feel like we're humans." Jill could be blunt, and that was how she saw it. Moroi didn't fit in to any sort of place, and that made her sad sometimes. Mostly it made her wonder if there would come a day they would be thrown out because they needed blood to survive, but their magical abilities could only protect so much. With the exception of the fire user among them.
"When you have humans at your party, are they protected from death?"
