Who: The Cullen Clan & Their Guests
What: Housewarming party ♥
When: Saturday evening
Where: Newly furnished Cullen Cabin
Warnings: TBA if necessary
The Cullens had spent most of the morning putting their little cabin in order, arranging and then rearranging the furniture they’d brought in from Fort Lewis to create elegant yet dynamic social areas to accommodate their large number. It was a simple design though she and Rosalie had argued over the particulars here and there while Esme had held back laughter in the background and Jasper had smiled slightly, which basically meant he was doing the same. Still, between the four of them they’d managed to make quite a sight. Pulling out some old tricks they hadn’t used since Bella’s wedding as they took some inspiration from nature, bringing life into their home with white and purple flowers Esme has discovered on a hunt. Rosalie weaving them into sophisticated displays, bright lights reflective and sparkling in their little nests that Alice tweaked only slightly when her sister wasn’t looking. Personally considering this a more casual affair despite the other vampire’s rather fashionable new hairdo for the occasion. Not that she hadn’t dressed up for the party herself, sporting a cute little cream and black laced number she’d found on their trip and altered to fit. The fabric delicate against her diamond hard skin, warming her pale coloring a bit as she secured a few bracelets to her right wrist, a gift from Jasper.
Of course it wasn’t the same as having their whole family there. With Carlisle residing over the whole affair with his quiet approval, Emmett goofing around just to make Rosalie smile, Edward at his piano playing something soft and sweet to please Renesmee while Bella hugged her daughter from behind. And if she closed her eyes she could see them now, blurred in four different directions, their faces indistinct for a moment with all the space between them until she focused. Then details came, where they were, what they were doing, where they were going. All crystal clear for precious seconds before Emmett decided this hunting ground was barren and it was time to move on. Carlisle chose to acquiesce his friends and stay another night. Edward thought better than to argue with Bella about whether their makeshift dwelling was safe enough to stay at and Bella moved to kiss him instead of saying the hundred and one things that were on her mind. Renesmee, like always, was beyond Alice’s reach because of her hybrid nature, but she knew her niece was okay through what she saw in Edward and Bella’s future. Before everything could blur again she pulled back, mind settling in the present as her golden eyes cleared from the fog of third sight.
Shaking her head slightly she made her way back into the living room, thoughts turning to her mate and how he must be fairing considering the chaos that had been leaking from the prison like a seeping wound. Really Alice couldn’t understand it herself aside from what she’d recently learned last night after meeting Daryl, the poor human desperately seeking any sign of where his brother might have gone. It had been her first time visiting the prison, though technically she hadn’t gone in, waiting for the human closer to the tree line of the forest before she’d taken the sweater he’d offered and took a glimpse into the future. Ultimately however she’d only been able to give the other man a few facts, that his brother was alive and had spent some time in an abandoned church before heading north. She'd explained that her gift wasn’t infallible and that the future changed almost every second depending on the choices Merle may make. And she’d also asked that he’d keep her gift a secret. Only a few outside of her family knew of what she could do and she wanted to keep it that way unless word somehow got back to the Volturi.
But then her thoughts were broken as a knock resounded through their cabin. Someone was at the door! Using an extra burst of speed Alice managed to get there first, smiling brightly as she opened it and greeted the person on the other side, “Hello! I’m so glad you could come. Welcome to our home.”
