“I’m sorry but I can only see your future. You’re the one I met, not this human,” Alice said, trying to find some words that would help make this better but knowing that there were none. Under different circumstances maybe she could see something, but short of meeting all of the brunettes in the prison, which she wasn’t at all sure was very accepting of vampires considering recent events, she couldn’t offer him more.
“The future isn’t a set thing Stefan,” Alice tried to explain, stepping closer, but keeping a distance, giving the other vampire room to process what she was saying, “It changes with every choice we make and every one that we don’t. So as of right now the choices this person has made will eventually lead to her death, but it could change. Without knowing who this person is and meeting them I can’t say anything further.”
"All I can say is the choices you are going to make will keep you from being there," she finished with something of a helpless shrug. It had been a long time since she'd learned something so grave indirectly and it was frustrating for her as well though obviously to a different degree.
