"So far the company is nothing to complain about," Eric said. "But a proper vampire party should have humans to feed from." If he had thought of it earlier he would have asked Katherine to bring several of her staff along with them. They were fed on all of the time and would have no problem servicing a party even this large. Oh well, maybe next time.
"How do you feed if not on the other humans in the prison?" Eric asked the little one seriously. While Adrian was interesting to him as a Moroi and as another attractive man, it was the little one who had kept seeking conversation with him on the network. That only lead Eric to believe that she was looking for answers as young vampires often were. He wasn't sure he would have any for her as he was not a Moroi but he was intrigued by her and her kind.
"The humans at the prison should be offering you their blood in chalices. It is the vampires in part who guarantee their safety. Where I come from if a vampire offers a human protection, the human should feel obligated to offer their blood. We have the self control to not kill and humans can part with some of their blood and live easily enough."
He did not understand the dynamic of the prison between humans and vampires and it was no small wonder that a young vampire like Jill would be seeking her elders out for guidance.
