It wasn't like she couldn't see the humans point, but they hadn't been attacked by any of them. Which was probably why she let her next words slip without filtering herself. "It's not like we're feeding from anyone in there. The outcry was so ridiculous you would have thought we put them on an auction block for dibs."
And this was why more often than not, Jill locked her conversations with people. The older she got, the more hate she saw, and the more spirit she took from Adrian, the less she cared about being sweet Jill who made people happy. Humans were scared, well maybe none of the other vampires would admit it, but Jill was scared too.
It didn't matter though, because they were at a party, and she planned to enjoy herself. "You have a way with words that captured everyone's attention, so it probably stirred things up a little." The big smile made it clear she thought his style was fantastic. "Are you enjoying the party?"
