Allison didn't flinch, didn't cry as she stared down at Kol's mutilated body. She felt only numb, the memory of all those other hunts flooding into her mind. So many times he would have been standing next to her while she did this to somebody else. This was different. She had felt things then. She had felt excitement and triumph and victory and beneath all the compulsion, horror and sorrow for the life she had taken. Now she felt only nothing. She felt like this was a task to be done.
She found some heavy duty trashbags in the kitchen and she and Scott separated Kol's body into thirds and wrapped them each up in the garbage bags. Keeping him separate was important. He would heal eventually but he couldn't heal if they kept the parts away from each other. Eternity was going to suck for Kol Mikaelson. She bet that he wished he could die now, if he even felt anything at all.
Once they were finished, Allison washed up in the sink. Scott went for the kitchen sink but Allison was in the bathroom. She rubbed water over her face with soap and after she felt like she had rubbed her skin dry she had most of the blood washed away from her face and neck. It still clung to her hair and clothes but it was the best she could do for now.
She looked in the mirror at her reflection, at the brightness in her eyes and wondered if she should be concerned about the person she had become. Mental instability ran fairly rampant in The Argent family. Maybe Allison had cracked. She didn't think so. For the first time in a while she felt truly free.
"We need to get out of here before anyone smells the blood," she said. Scott nodded and the two of them carried their things and Kol's remains in the garbage bags to the truck. While Scott packed things up, Allison quickly changed out of her bloodied skirt, tights and top and into a pair of jeans and a comfortable top. It was going to be a long ride. Once she had changed she walked over to Scott. He had a distant kind of far away look in his eyes.
Softly she wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed his jaw sweetly. They had just done something so dark, so macabre and violent but here they were kissing under the moonlight, proof that lovers could be fighters and vice versa.
"Are you ready for whatever's next?" she whispered to him.
