What: Allison and Scott kill Kol and run away from Everett because in my version of the story Romeo and Juliet live forever.
When: Tonight
Where: Everett woods and then out into the great beyond
Warnings: Yes
Moving on was not a big deal for Allison Argent. She had lived in numerous states, cities and countries in her life. When she was younger her parents had used their cover business on her, telling her that her father was a well respected arms dealer and that was the reason why they had to keep moving from place to place so often. When Allison grew older and her aunt Kate revealed the true family secret it was suddenly very apparent why they had spent so much time moving. They had to follow the hunt. And that was exactly what Allison was doing now, she and Scott were following the hunt. And while she would miss the friends she had made in Everett, that was the way life was for an Argent. No attachments, no complaints. You simply moved onto the next.
It was easy to follow the no complaints rule when she had Scott at her side, driving the truck that they would take out of town with them. She might have had more complaints if she wasn't completely sure that she would see Lydia, Stiles and her father in Canada in a couple of months. It was hard to estimate just how much time it would take her and Scott. It would depend on the conditions of roads and the weather and any other possible obstacles they might meet on the way. It was a post apocalyptic world and this journey was a treacherous one, even for a skilled hunter and a true alpha. Yet Allison was confident in both of their skills. They had been training for this moment since the first time Scott had brought it up.
The two of them had been lounging around in Allison and Lydia's cell after a late night sentry shift. "I want to kill him," Scott had said. Allison wanted to kill him too. She knew her father and her friends wanted to kill him too. But how did you kill something that couldn't be killed? They had puzzled over that for awhile until the obvious answer presented itself. The prison had laid the groundwork for an eternity of misery for Kol's siblings. It had failed because of poor follow through. Allison and Scott had learned from their mistakes and were going to make sure that Kol didn't come back, not any time in their life anyway. It would be difficult to put himself together if he were in pieces buried around the country in different places. The Council may have been stuck in Everett but Allison and Scott weren't.
This was a revenge mission. It was vengeance for everything Kol had done to her and had taken from her. He had abused her mind and her body and the sick part was that some part of her had liked some of it. She enjoyed the hunt with Kol, he was crazy fast and strong and she had never hunted with someone quite like that before. Of course he had also forced her to break the code, the one thing her family had held dear since the 1870's. That was unacceptable. As far as the copious amounts of sex they had Allison wasn't sure what to make of it. At the time she enjoyed it but he had compelled her to. That was akin to rape in her mind even if she had enjoyed herself. Actually the fact that she had enjoyed it only made it worse. Raping her body was bad enough, but Kol had raped her mind.
She had to remind herself that revenge was not the only motive here. Scott was too good, his heart too pure for it. Even though she was believed him when he got so angry about Kol that his eyes would turn red and his claws would elongate against his will. It was pure hatred that drove the wolf inside of him to kill. But Scott wasn't a killer and never had been. They had to remember that by disposing of Kol, they were protecting the rest of the town. Once Allison left there would be another Allison and another. There had been plenty in the past, she was sure of it. He needed to be stopped.
They had left early in the evening, after supper and the longer days meant that they still had daylight on their side. Kol would be deadly no matter what time of day but night time was a vampire's time so Allison coveted the daylight while it lasted.
They carefully watched the originals home to ensure that they would not be bothered. Serena was already at the prison for the night, Allison had checked the sign in sheet. The leggy blonde had been spending most of her nights with Hayley at the prison which was good since she wouldn't be caught in the crossfire. Allison had no idea if Serena was being compelled or if she really was just that blonde. She was banking on the latter. Because why would anyone live with this monster?
For now they waited for either Klaus or Kol to leave the premises. Neither did for awhile and twilight turned to midnight faster than Allison had anticipated. She scowled. These were original vampires. Didn't they have lives or someone to torture or something to do? It wasn't long until Kol left his cabin. She had to practically hold Scott back from pouncing right then and there. She let Kol get a head start, moving so far away that she could no longer hear him or see him. He was sharp and he would hear them following if they didn't give him a wide enough berth. But it didn't matter if she couldn't see him, because Scott could smell him.
After a little while she followed Scott as he tracked Kol by scent alone. Allison was also tracking, making note of Kol's shoeprint in the mud. They were close, she could feel it.
Soon they came towards a cabin where Kol was hiding out. The cabin actually had power and Allison realized they were close to the projects. He was probably siphoning power from their generator.
"He's got someone in there," Scott practically growled.
Allison pulled up her hunter rifle and watched through the scope as Kol taunted some redheaded girl he had tied to a chair.
"Looks like he's moved on to redheads," she said sourly as she put the gun down and pulled the bow and arrow out. She had several arrows with her. Incendiary, flashbolts, your standard issue arrows covered in vervain and explosive rounds. She also had a machete strapped to her back just in case things got messy as well as her favored Chinese ring daggers hidden in her pockets. She had the Desert Eagle her father had given her tucked into her waistband.
"If you want to sneak in, I'll distract with him flashbolts. The faster you can bite him, the faster we can disorient him," she reminded Scott. Flashbolts were completely harmless but because of their bright blinding light they could disorient and corner a target. She didn't want to hurt the girl that was in there. "But be careful. He's fast. Unbelievably fast." She should have asked Damon or Stefan to practice with them but the fewer people who knew what was going on here, the better.
She grabbed him suddenly and kissed him hard. "I love you," she said just in case she didn't have the chance to say it again.
