Scott's attention snapped when the machete fell, clattering to the wooden floor and it broke whatever second of silence there was in the room. Blood was thick in the air and even Scott's eyes glazed over momentarily. He was an alpha werewolf, he'd seen what he considered to be a lot, but this was different. Mouth opened slightly, he looked at Allison as she looked at what Kol was right now. Which was nothing. His chest was ripped open, his heart was laying across the room where it landed with a plop.
He could feel her shaking slightly, like it was all coming to her. Allison was strong, she was tough and she had the ability to shut it off, but when it was all said and done, when the worst and most challenging and most frightening part was over, the walls usually began to crumble unless she was able to catch the rubble before it hit. She was just a girl underneath it all and born into this. She learned quickly from her Dad and Kate and her Grandfather and even from herself. He couldn't think that everything she had learned, all the training she went through, the code would prepare her for this.
His arms moved around her from behind and he kissed the back of her head. Just taking a second. A second to like calm her down and he just prayed that she didn't push him away. She needed this. To be the one. After everything that Kol did to her and as much as Scott just wanted to end it himself while he could, he didn't. Allison had to do it. She had to finish it. She had to show Kol that he couldn't hurt her anymore just because he could. And Scott felt she did that, that it was accomplished. Now it was just the clean up and getting out of Everett.
"I love you."
They didn't have a lot of time though and Scott let go of her and stood beside her. He cleared his throat before leaning down and grabbing the machete. He groaned, lightly, but he'd be okay. He would be okay. He pulled Kol toward him by his leg and laid the vampire out. Allison had already started but Scott started to finished up. He didn't look at Allison and he didn't say anything to her. She'd done what she needed to do and now he was just getting Kol ready. They had a long journey of burying his body all over the place so he could never hurt anyone ever again.
