"Oh, that's sweet of you. But don't worry. I have plenty of tea." As if to illustrate her point, Julie opened up her cupboard and boxes of teas and coffees spilled out into the already messy office. "Pretty much every kind you can think of. A couple of bottles of wine too." Julie smiled. "My friend Dante lives in this building and he's always good about getting me stuff that I need. So let me know if you need anything and I'll ask him to get it."
That reminded her she needed to check in on Dante and make sure he was okay. She hadn't seen him since the day he had flipped Jackson's car over and he and Azazeal had a smackdown in the middle of the projects. Dante had caused a lot of damage but Julie knew that underneath all of that snark was a good heart even if he would have some sarcastic quip to any such remark.
"That's Crabby. He's not actually a crab. He's a crabbit. I call him a he but I'm not sure how to tell what gender they are and I haven't really looked." Julie gave Meredith a smile as she put the tea kettle on the stove. She walked over to Crabby's cage and pushed aside a few boxes so that Meredith could get a better look at Crabby.
She could see Meredith looking at the creature with some wonder. "He's not from around here. Obviously. I picked him up on my travels," she said rather enigmatically. A lot of creatures followed Julie back from The Outback and she did her best to keep them under control. The dark isz simply needed to be hunted and killed but crabbits were harmless enough. They survived on plants and bugs.
