"A lot of the time they were. Criminals are a lot more clever on TV than they are in real life." She listened as Krissy described recording the zombie movements and was impressed. "That's a really good idea. Kind of like Diane Fossey observing gorillas in their natural habitats. You never know what information is going to be useful. Once Corbin - he was my Sheriff and my partner - he had me correlate a huge stack of time cards. The old school ones like you punch out. It took me two weeks to put all of them in order. I thought it was just busy work and with every time card I put into place I got more and more ticked off because he was wasting my time." Abbie smiled at the memory. She should have known there was a point to her assignment - Corbin was sneaky like that. "Turns out they were important evidence in solving a ten year old bank robbery. The time cards proved that one of the janitors was in on the whole thing."
"Yeah, I can see how being a princess wouldn't suit you. It wouldn't be my thing either. But, when I think about some of the costumes I wore... Jenny, my sister and I bounced around foster care a lot and some families didn't have much money so we usually wound up making our own costumes. My favorite was to go as a bag of jelly beans. We'd get a big dry cleaning bag and cut a hole in the top and bottom then put it on and stuff different colored balloons in it and write Jelly Belly on the side. I would have hated being turned into a sack of candy!"
