Who: Hannibal and Needy What: Um. "Clearing the air"? Kind of? Okay, not really. When: Backdated to the night before Loki's spell wears off Where: The cabin where Needy stayed during the spell Warnings: Hannibal is a shady bastard, so yes. Warnings for language, and poisoning a teenager.
As much as Hannibal had managed to keep his composure in front of Needy, and even if he acted as the ever normal psychiatrist from the prison that was simply accompanying Will while he gave his friend a ride, the words that she had said to him over the network some days prior were very present in his mind. He didn't take kindly to people being rude in the first place, and this girl was not only rude, but also foul mouthed and accused him of not addressing the fact that Will was not okay.
Did she truly think he did not know that?
Hannibal made it his job to know Will, Abigail, and Alana to a point that they didn't even knew themselves. He liked to observe, and pinpoint things in his mind, as if they were notes to be revised later. In this apocalypse it was hard to really go back to what he was used to, and eat how he was used to, but living in the prison they had almost become hobbies to him. As if he was comparing and cataloguing how they used to be, and how they were now. Similarities and differences, sometimes glaringly obvious and visible, other times barely there for them to notice. But, Hannibal noticed. He noticed friendships, and relationships. Nuances, inside jokes. Things that were minor and insignificant to other people, but said so much. What kind of psychiatrist would he be if he didn't notice these things?
Needy would be a problem, though. He already knew it, because if she had no problem voicing her opinion to him, how much longer would it take for her to bring it up to Will? Or to anyone, really. He knew the girl's credibility was slim to none, but the fact that Will had taken the time to pick her up and take her to a cabin so she could be safe told him more than enough to know her place in his life. Which internally caused him to almost roll his eyes in exasperation, but he hid it perfectly. Leave it to Will to find another stray to take in, because apparently the young hunter and Abigail had not been enough. If she said something to Will, it could be dangerous. It would be planting a seed that he was not willing to see grow, and it was better to nip things in the bud.
And that was exactly what he planned on doing. After signing himself out, using a young man who seemed to be eager to get out on his own as his 'buddy,' Hannibal parted ways with him once they were far enough away from the prison. The road to the cabin had been memorized easily when they had dropped off the girl, and as he made his way there he kept with him his gun in the messenger bag that he was carrying with him. The bag also carried what he would need to carry out the rest, and as he approached the cabin he just held onto it tighter as he felt a small sense of satisfaction come over him. It would be a pity that he would not be able to witness the aftermath, he idly thought to himself as he knocked on the door, because otherwise he would try to feast at least in a small quantity before going back.
No matter. As the door opened, he gave Needy a polite smile in greeting, waiting to see what her reaction was to seeing him there before really doing or saying anything else.
