"You're welcome." She flashed him a brief smile and hoped that she didn't bring up too sore a subject for him. "Definitely kinda like that," she agreed with him with a laugh. The clubs were one of the few places mutants could flaunt their physical differences without fear and some had dressed to emphasize those differences.
"I hope you guys can get something worked out, I'd like to hear you singing something, anything." After whar the prison had just gone through and still recoving from, they could use all the distractions they could get. Hearing Kurt and his friends might help with that if they stuck to upbeat songs.
Despite the fact that they were talking about mutants, Rogue's thoughts weren't focused on her own ability. She was still under the impression that Loki's spell was still in effect since she hadn't checked the net and so hadn't seen Phil's post about everyone's powers coming back. "No, you don't want to hear me sing, trust me." She shook her head with a wry grin. When he moved in a little closer to take more of her measurements, she thoughtlessly took hold of his wrist. She had meant to tell him to give her a second to put up her hair so it wouldn't get in the way but then the all too familiar sensation of energy absorption spread throughout her hand. Her eyes widened in surprise and horror.
Rogue let go of Kurt as soon as felt the tingle in her skin but it was too late. Kurt's veins darkened and bulged before he collapsed on the floor. A rapid flash of his memories hit her and she winced as she tried to fight the sudden onslaught of information in order to reach her phone and post a panicked message on the net for help.
