Rogue's accent was one of the first things he noticed. For someone that was so against judgment and stereotyping, he had a couple of those very things in mind. Nothing too horrible, but a healthy dose of preconceived thoughts that would definitely be dispelled by talking to her more.
"Please." He commented with an eye roll "The only thing you're interrupting is me wishing that Liza Minnelli would walk through those front doors and sing a duet with me." an airy semi-forced laugh slipped from his mouth but he didn't seem to be waiting for a reaction or even recognition. He didn't think for a second that Rogue would know what he was going on about or really care. Maybe that was some of the residual 'no one but Glee club understands my interests' feelings at play and even that hadn't always been true. Finn was no Broadway star or fashionista and he could think of a few others in the same boat. He stepped inside at her offer and put his kit on the bed while he turned to talk to her.
Kurt couldn't keep the smile off his face, this was a new one, it was the smile you gave to a kid that just said something really adorable but totally childish. Patronizing, maybe, but not in ill will. He was amused to the max by the idea of Rogue in a fairy princess outfit. It was quaint and very sweet. But if he had anything to do with it she wouldn't be going as a fairy princess again this year, she'd wow a crowd in something classy and tastefully macabre. He nodded along as she spoke until she got to the measurements and he turned to open his kit "Of course that's a good a place to start as any" he fished out the measuring tape and turned back to her, stepping up and getting a look at where he thought he might start. The ideas were running through his mind a mile a minute.
"Elbow length gloves?" he echoed with a sound of approval "They're so underrated. I would love to work those into your look. Arms up!" He decided to measure her waist first, waiting until she lifted her arms to loop the tape measure around her and let it overlap itself. She was in great shape but then again most of the people here were, mostly by necessity. Still, he appreciated that she was a nice looking woman. "So tell me about yourself." he realized that he'd forgotten to take out his notepad and crossed back over to his kit, fishing it out and sitting for a moment to take some notes while she spoke.
