If Laura was truly anything like Logan, then he didn't have to spell it out for her. Laura was carrying around a good amount of guilt because she thought she was at fault for what happened to Emily despite, Rogue was almost positive, having done everything that she could. That's what was so great and frustrating about people like Logan and Laura. They could save your life a million times over but one slip up and they'd blame themselves even if it wasn't their fault.
"I'm sure they will," she told him softly. They had to be for all three of their sakes. Rogue would bet that Logan felt guilt over it as well even if it was only a little bit because they were living with him. "I'd really like that. I'll even bring over a housewarming gift even though it's really late."
Rogue felt for the girls but she didn't want Logan to mope, he was totally moping even if he wouldn't admit it, when he was here. He probably got enough of that back home and she wanted to get his mind off of it just for a couple hours. "I made a couple friends that can help me get my hands on something." Isaac had been kind enough to find her a movie just because she'd said it was one of her favorites and she was sure Lucien would help if she asked. For an angel that was supposedly on hell's side, he was a pretty good guy. It actually made it all the more frustrating for her because she could think of reasons why she should or shouldn't go out with him again.
"That's what makes living here worth it. Sometimes, it almost feels like the school because not everyone is human, you know?" Rogue had never held a grudge against all of humanity like Magneto and his Brotherhood had, though there had been times when she was pissed at them, but they didn't understand what it felt like to be different. "No one I've met so far has freaked out over what I can do."
