Rogue got the silent warning and left it at that. She wasn't keen on making him mad over nothing since she was fine now.
"I'll give you that," she conceded with a quiet sigh. He may have had a point but she was still of the opinion that even after all the crap the town went through recently, there was still room for them to have moments when things felt better than good. Her eyebrows furrowed when he finally admitted that there was something going on.
She bit the inside of her cheek to keep herself from asking him to go on. The best approach with Logan was to let him talk at his own pace and just listen. Laura, she'd talked to her on the net the night she'd arrived in Everett so Rogue at least had some idea of who he was talking about. "Holy shit." The cuss word slipped out in her surprise. Stryker had been a nasty piece of work and anyone that wanted to duplicate what he'd done with Logan couldn't have been much better. She shuddered to think what Laura had gone through because anytime human scientists got their paws on mutants, the reasons for experimentation were always the same. They either wanted to find a way to neutralize their powers or learn how to turn them into their own personal weapons.
Rogue's gloved fingers flexed at her sides. "I heard about that over the net." There really wasn't anything anyone could for Emily and she could understand the frustration over that. "I'd ask how she was doing but it seems like a stupid question." She reached over and gave Logan's arm a squeeze. "How's Laura taking it?" Even though she'd never met Laura, Rogue couldn't help but feel sympathy for her and some curiosity. If she was living with Logan then she was obviously important to him and she was all for getting to know Logan's friends.
