Rogue laughed with delight when Logan lifted her off her feet. She really had missed him as well, and this reunion was the kick in the pants that she needed to remember to keep in touch with him more frequently than she had back in September.
She glanced up at him and grinned. "I feel all grown up," she paused and tilted her head to the side a little, "well mostly grown up." She was still technically a teenager but next year would change that. "It's good to see you too, you haven't aged a bit," she told him fondly. Rogue knew his mutation kept him from aging like the rest of them but it was still pretty amazing to see.
"Come on, let's take a walk around the yard." She bumped her clothed shoulder against his and led him in the right direction. Even though the sun was near its peak, the breeze surrounding them was chilly. "I know it's not as nice as a walk outside but it does in a pinch." It also had the added benefit of not having to look over their shoulder for wandering zombies, she'd had her fill of them on Monday after having been chased by a group of them. A fact that Logan never needed to know about.
"How've you been?" Logan had told her that he was fine over the net and she wanted to believe him for his own sake. However, Rogue needed to see him say it to know if he was telling the truth or putting on a brave face. He had always been there to take care of her but she was older now, and at the very least could lend him a sympathetic ear. Lord knew he wouldn't tell just anyone his problems.
