She turned to watch him move away from her, to stare out into the woods. She remained quiet for a long moment, letting him think before she responded.
"No," she admitted. That wasn't what she wanted. Though she really did wish he'd at least told her he'd been planning to leave that day. But she wasn't going to hold it against him. "What I want is for you to come back to the prison." Which she suspected he already knew. Because he knew her as well as she knew him.
