She didn't hear him coming until he was literally right behind her, knife in hand. She turned at the sound of his sigh, recognizing the sound immediately. She arched an eyebrow at him and folded her arms across her chest. She knew he was worried about her, even if he seemed irritated. But he hadn't exactly given her a choice in the matter.
"What? You can be out here by yourself, but I can't?" There was a hint of challenge in her tone. Yeah, Carol had a plan all right. If he refused to come back to the prison with her? Well, she'd just stay out there with him, whether he liked it or not. He wouldn't leave her on her own. That much she knew. Even if she had gotten quite a bit better with both guns and knives in the past couple of months.
"And yes. Something happened in the prison." She cocked her head and gave him a pointed look. "Someone left without so much as a word of warning." Her posture suggested that she would put up one heck of an argument if she had to.
