Rogue was leaning against the welcome sign when the car finally came into the view. Her shoulders sagged in relief as she pushed off and waited for one of the two in the car to come out and greet her. It was the man that came out, Sam if she remembered right, and his hesitance to come near her made her stance stiffen. She was used to people giving her a wide berth but that usually happened after they found out about her mutation not before. She eyed him with what she hopped was a friendly smile on her lips instead of the wariness she felt at meeting a complete stranger alone. He may have been big but she could take him if she had to, one touch would have him on the ground quicker than he could call out for help.
"That's right," she confirmed. "It's alright, I probably should be apologizing to you for coming at such a crazy time." Her smile brightened at the mention of running water. She had missed taking real, honest to God showers. Wearing layers would definitely be worth it if she could feel properly clean again. The smile faltered, though, when once again he was hesitant to come anywhere near her. Jesus, how would he act when he knew what she could do? With a frown of her own, Rogue caught the box and grew confused when she saw that it was laundry detergent. Without taking her eyes from the box, she slowly nodded when he explained what it was for. "Okay," she started out slowly, "that seems fair enough."
Despite her words, she looked at the box like it would explode in her hands at any second. Rogue had never heard of anything called a Leviathan and neither Logan nor Laura had mentioned that word to her on the net. She finally looked up when Molly approached her and her lips quirked up into a small grin at the question. It reminded her a little of the time when she'd first met Logan and he'd asked for her real name. "No," she admitted, "it's not. I came up with Rogue years back after my mutation manifested." Her eyes shifted from Molly to Sam, watching and waiting for a telltale sign that her being a mutant would be a problem. "My real name is Marie but I prefer Rogue."
The Leviathan thing made a little more sense and she gave Molly a sympathetic look. "I've had run ins with a shape shifter as well, not as nasty as these Leviathan things but she was a huge bitch that took pleasure in screwing with us." Rogue lifted a gloved hand to her mouth and with a quick yank of her teeth, her fingers were exposed as the clasps released and she opened the box and dipped her fingers into the powder. She even made sure to grab a pinch of the detergent before she brought her hand back up and rubbed her fingers together so Sam and Molly could see the powder drop back down into the box. "No Leviathans here, promise."
