Why did Robin insist on toying with her emotions like this? Emily refused to believe that she was like either Faith or Alison. First she said that they could hang out and then she was saying there was a guy she needed to go find? Hell no she didn't. Emily worked on keeping her face pleasant and kind, but she held onto Robin's hand a little tighter. Not enough that she couldn't still pull it back or that she was hurting her, but the instinct to hold onto what she loved and adored was strong. It wasn't going to happen again.
"Are you sure you need to? We can talk and hang out and.. find somewhere to be alone later." She lowered her voice at the end and let her tone do the real talking. Loosening her grip on Robin's hand, Emily's fingers danced a bit on the back of her palm.
"We should spend more time together and get to know one another. Don't you think so? I've been watching you and I just know we're supposed to find out what life has in store for us."
If Emily were in her right mind she would be incredibly embarrassed by what she was saying. She'd managed to find a boldness within her that she never used to have when she was friends with Alison, but this? This was not the Emily Fields kind of way. It actually was kind of the Alison DiLaurentis kind of way. She'd end up thinking a lot about that later.
"I know a place if you want to get out of here. We can sit and talk." And stuff. The stuff was very much implied.
