"Yes. From what I've been told, there was a certain time frame she needed to perform the ritual in the first time she was here. If we can delay her and keep Dawn out of her sights until after that? Well, we'll have one problem off of our hands, but I don't know if she'll leave. She'll be angry and want to take it out on everyone here."
He didn't say to him what he and Buffy had been discussing. Those weren't thoughts he was going to divulge to anyone. Not Gunn, Wes, or Spike. Not even Connor unless it came down to the wire and they needed to leave. Connor had already said he would take Dawn away but Angel knew his son. He wouldn't plan to take anyone with him except for Dawn, but Angel wouldn't have that. He and Buffy would go with them.
Faith. Angel sighed and shook his head. The story was bullshit even if he understood why it was in place. The prison needed to believe she hadn't left or abandoned them. Because, like Connor, Angel believed she would be back and when she came back, no one needed to know or hold that against her.
"Faith isn't looking for any kind of weapon. She seems to think that we're not going to be able to stop Glory on our own, so she left. She's still in town somewhere, but is laying low. For now, we have to assume that we won't be able to count on her when the time comes, but I want to believe that will change soon."
